my ranking.

1) Sean McDermott

2) D Marrone

3) M Mularkey

4) Chan Gailey

5) Wade Phillips

6) Dick Jauron

7) Greg Williams

8 ) Rex Ryan

For Bills

McD is by far the best.  Greg Williams and Rex Ryan both were absolutely horrendous for the Bills. Everyone else jumbles together

Miami Dolphins

1) Dave Wannstedt

2) Tony Sparano

3) Brian Flores

4) Joe Philbin

5) Adam Gase

6) Nick Saban

7) Cam Cameron

Wow. the Dolphins actually have a worse collection of under performers than the Bills.  Saban is obviously a better coach than the rest. But he did a lot of damage to the Fish

NY Jets

1) Rex Ryan

2) Herm Edwards

3) Eric Mangini

4) Al Groh

5) Adam Gase

6) Todd Bowles

Bowles nearly went to the playoffs with Ryan Fitzpatrick.  He’s too low.

also, Jauron is too low.  Look at those rosters.  It’s absolutely amazing they won 7 games.  They were bottom 5 teams with talent.

Bowles was absolutely the worst Jets HC since Kotite. Was the requisite talent on the roster? No, but there was no excuse for his team to lay an egg in a quarter of the games.

Bowles teams would have a moments where they would win an unexpected game or a close loss to a good team where you think something is clicking only to watch them give zero effort the following week.

That Barkley loss was signature Bowles. He was good for 4-5 games a year where his team was completely unprepared

I can see moving up Bowles a couple notches at least above Groh and Gase.  I just remember it got ugly at the end of his time with the NYJ.   Although it got ugly at the end for just about everyone on these lists .

Jauron, Gailey, Mularkey were all about the same to me.   Gailey and Mularkey created at least created more entertainment.

What an awful list.....

All pro sports in N. America are made up of a handful of smart, driven franchises that do all the winning, a giant middle group of teams that live around .500 and are just there to play games and deliver wins to the elite teams, and then a minority of truly horrible organizations that can't get it right.

During BB's tenure in NE, the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins have  been 3 of the worst run organizations in football and have lived in that 3rd segment of organizations that can't get out of their own way.

So this list shouldn't come as a surprise.

Rex Ryan should be MUCH lower. Chan should be higher. Greg Williams should be lower.

Looks like you have a Jets bias.
