In any other time there would be several people being charged with treason over the attempt to frame a president in order to remove him from office. Heads should fly over this to make people think twice about doing such a thing in the future. If the only punishment for running a 3 year grift on a sitting President is "let's not point fingers and let's come together for an emotional cleanse", I vote for leaving things the way they are. No downside, no jail time, just an endless cycle of political malfeasance and bland statements afterward that we all should do better next time. I'll take my chances with our side.
