transplantbillsfan
Yes, all of us who know you understand that all of your threads are as comprehensive as possible. Ergo it's been discussed. If I sensed a bit of snarkyness ... If the name Tyrod Taylor is in it, then yes, there is. Again, this is not the BBMB. seen a ton of Taylor threads, so we have to act like lemmings? One of the things they didn't do there is stress duplicate threads, yet the would merge them. Use the search function and keep the number of repetitive threads to a minimum. Its a simple request. Why must we have dozens of TT threads? To argue the same points over and over and over? Oh...forgot to look at your profile. You're just another BBMB refugee. I don't feel so bad anymore. I thought you were a TWD vet and I stepped on your toes. Carry on...

Crusher
Great - believe that if you want - I guess. I would believe you if this was your first TT post about this stuff, but considering that I showed how many posts you started about TT (and it has been brought up in this thread also) and not one of them objective and not one of them did you even consider the fact that your own bias could influence what you see or believe. Even in this post - people talk about the fact that there were still a bunch of issues over the middle and you act like you have the definitive research. This is 2 years of this and you were incorrect last offseason and you were shown to be incorrect this offseason. His agent had feelers out to teams and then he "decides" to take a huge pay cut in bot money, guaranteed money, and years, but that was not because he heard his true value - it was because he is a great guy that loves Buffalo. My mind is made up by what he does on the field and what the coaching staff and GM has stated he needs to improve on both last season and this season. He needs to improve - I am even open to believing that with a new and talented coaching staff - he can improve. I do not think he sucks - as I have stated many time - he was probably the best bet for this team for 2017, but not at the old contract - he just is not ever going to be a long term answer at the position and that is what we need to be successful. With the new contract it is fine and the Bills can move on after this year or next year. You on the other hand start thread after thread after thread trying to justify why he is a starter and this load of diaper material about his improvements. He is a starter because of his athletic ability and the fact that he took a huge page cut. The rest of the stuff is just filler that you posted to try to make yourself feel better. This just about sums up Transplant and this thread.
John from Riverside
Kind of like all you care about that the defense wasn't top 5. I get it johnny boy, you're a hypocrite! Way to twist it and still come out wrong
Big Gun
Way to twist it and still come out wrong And that's all it is to you and a bunch of others, you have to be right all the time. It's a game to you, your always right and everyone else is always wrong. That other homer trasplatted or something comes in and first few posts is telling anyone with differing view they were wrong and tried explaining how wrong they were. It's a freaking opinion board! In the first few of these all I did was point out the fallacious previous prediction of an arrogant poster who publicly stated how gleefully he would shoot down every pro-Taylor poster once he was inevitably cut (that was multiple posts as he's going back and forth with me... like I said, I'm guilty of the back and forth), point out a blatantly incorrect stat, which last I checked is not an opinion. Another thread of the dialogue is with a poster regarding a subject last year that was put to bed by actual facts he continues to ignore. The very last one is me simply responding to a poster who stated a bunch of opinions directly as facts by saying opinions aren't facts. I read most, not all. I click through and see that a lot of these are me responding to your own posts... do you have an issue with civil disagreement? If you're the same poster by the same name over at that other board we still reside at, you seem overly sensitive over here. Just because you don't specifically say the words "your opinion is wrong" doesn't mean your actions don't state it. Your threads consist of compiling data about a perceived weakness of Taylor and "proving" to everyone that perception is wrong. Then you can't handle when people don't agree with your data and argue for pages, days and weeks. Anything from his ball placement to throwing over the middle...you seem to think your data is flawless. Why else would you spend that much time arguing with others if you didn't you're right and others are wrong? You seem to have an obsession arguing about Taylor and give him the benefit of the doubt 100% of the time. Now you will argue why Taylor took a multi million dollar pay cut....it's because he really loves Buffalo.

I think this is right - Transplant does do an incredible amount of work and I do appreciate the effort. I just tend to disagree with his premise which is always about how superb TT is when the empirical data and the specific quotes of his HCs, OCs, and GM seem to fly in the face of the idea. His work is not wrong - his conclusions just tend to go to far toward TT is great. TT does many things well - He is incredibly mobile and that causes teams to pass rush in a more lane based manner making it easier to pass block. He has great speed and quickness to elude defenders and get to the boundaries and pick up yards. He has a nice deep ball down the sideline although it was less accurate this year than last year - he still gets plenty of air under it and gets it out there. He is very careful with the ball. All of these things help the offense in many ways. He also has a lot to work on. Throws over the middle and slants need to be on time and they are generally late. Lots of throws to WRs that have either turned and stopped or are coming back toward the QB or heading right at the sideline (no chance for any YAC). He moves out of clean pockets to quickly and that lead to increased sacks and runs out of bounds either at the line of scrimmage or behind the line of scrimmage (for an unnecessary sack). He seems on many occasions to focus on on receiver to long and misses the windows where other receivers come open. In the NFL a window may only be open for a second or two and the timing on your progressions is very important - that is why it is a three step drop and throw - that should be when the WR hits a window, but TT holds for that extra split second and the WR passes the window and now it is scramble drill time. Watching the All 22 - provides a lot of information and it is also difficult to know what the overall play call and design was, but you do see WRs hit windows as he completes his drop and TT just does not throw into that tight window enough - so once he re-cocks his arm - the next window is a WR on a comeback or out route and that WR tends to present a full jersey to TT and no defenders - so TT makes the throw and we get a short gain. It is a positive, but we missed the big play that would have opened things up for later. I like the fact that he does not turn the ball over, but it comes with a lack of attempts to WR all over the field. Again with his limited throwing he needs to keep the Turn-overs way down. I would be ok with a few more Turn-overs if it meant more throws and more big plays out of the passing game. I can't remember who said it but I heard it on the radio about Taylor. Might have been Greg Cossell? Anyway he said something along the lines of Taylor doesn't recognize what's not there quick enough in his progressions....probably why he locks on to a WR. As you stated, the window closes and now it's time to scramble. I watch the All 22 every week and used to post it on the Bills message board....didn't get much response. Anyway, we could see WR running open. There were plays to be made that just weren't made. It wasn't just my interpretation, it was the person who put the All 22 together. Lynn is one of his last interviews on WGR stated our passing game wasn't there all season. Mentioned injuries but also mentioned Taylor needed to work on anticipation routes. He's safe with the ball which he loves but is also too safe many times. I listen to WGR everyday at work. Donald Jones comments on Tyrod and thinks he doesn't hit moving targets well which is why he's only comfortable with comeback routes and WR sitting in soft spots. It's what he sees but it is his opinion...not that he spoke with Lynn himself. I also wouldn't mind seeing a few more turnovers if it means being more aggressive in the passing game. I think this offense can be really special but it won't be if we continue to be one dimensional. Let's see if Taylor can improve on areas we all know he has to improve on. It's what he sees but it is his opinion...not that he spoke with Lynn himself. I also wouldn't mind seeing a few more turnovers if it means being more aggressive in the passing game. I think this offense can be really special but it won't be if we continue to be one dimensional. Let's see if Taylor can improve on areas we all know he has to improve on. good points all. transplantbillsfan
I don't really know what to say... I'm not the only one keeping this thread going, ya know. What exactly is a message board for? So you would prefer when I post anything to just make vague baseless statements? It's odd to me that the posters most clearly sick of my threads (and this is the first one I have ever started over here and the last for a good while) like you, RF, Crusher and Thurm are the ones who so often find your way into them and become the most vocal. I ignore all the threads I don't want to read. And maybe you think my actions do otherwise (that's a you thing) but I didn't call a single poster out by name in the OP. You asked if you've ever said another persons opinion is wrong. My post is in response to that. It doesn't matter if you don't call them out by name, with you arguing every nook and cranny about Tyrods perceived weakness, you obviously feel every person who doesn't agree with your threads are wrong. As Larry stated on BBMB, you don't want quality discussions, you want supportive replies to your threads. Anything that isn't supportive of your threads doesn't qualify as quality. If you constantly create very bias threads you should expect some naysayers.

I mean who takes him seriously? I did make a comment on duplicate threads, but it was in general and not meant specifically to you. Beyond the chaff, good points have been made here. just don' t start in on over the middle passing
