His first coach was clearly an idiot that ruined him. Ha that's funny, he has started exactly 14 games, Yes agreed, the jury is still out. Especially considering his coaches almost certainly encouraged him not to make too many mistakes. Doesn't matter. All that matters is W-L and the QB is pretty much solely responsible for whether or not a team wins. The kid won games- including a playoff game. They clearly should be. OK sarcasm off: nor is the verdict in on Tebow. Similarly however, I would be very skeptical of Tebow's chances of becoming a franchise QB. Truthfully, I think he has less of a chance than Manuel (even though Tebow's W-L record is better AND his TD-INT ratio is better, but that's neither here nor there). My point is that despite them each only having started 14 games as a pro, I reserve the right to formulate an opinion as to what I perceive to be their odds of becoming a franchise QB. I think those odds are slim for both of them. Do you think it's fair to assess Tebow's odds of becoming a franchise QB? If so, how and why is this a different scenario than Manuel? That being said, I live in Denver and out of his 14 starts, he had a few good ones. I remember him playing pretty well in a game at Minnesota. Again, his TD-INT ratio is better than Manuel's. I think EJ Manuel has played better than Tebow in his career- albeit not by much- but if you are allowed to say Tebow sucks after 14 starts (which I would agree with), why am I not allowed to say, "hey my gut is that it's not happening for EJ Manuel." Four of which were games in which he completed less that 50% of his passes. So what, though? If you honestly (and I know you're not stupid) believe that Tim !@#$ing Tebow was the reason that the Broncos won more than one of those games, then you simply can't judge NFL QB talent. Wins and losses man. They don't give out the Lombardi to the team with the most QB talent. They give it out to the team who wins enough games to win the Super Bowl. Do Ravens fans care about QB talent or are they happy with their Dilfer and Flacco wins? And Flacco is good, but he ain't Rodgers in terms of talent. I think Tebow is a viable NFL QB although in a backup/relief pitcher/special package roll. Maybe he improved his passing skills since he's been out though, so that could change my opinion. The thing with Tebow has been a lot of teams no longer wanted to deal with the Tebowmania craziness. IMO he'd still be in the league as a QB specialist if he didn't have that huge gorilla on his back. I think it's fair to assess Tebow on a shorter 14 game span only because he failed so badly at being able to throw the ball accurately. He was worse than Blain Gabbert in that respect, buuuuut the guy was clutch in the fourth quarter in many ways that "franchise" QBs like Smith and Tannnehill are not. Tebow is one weird cat. I'm opining that Tebow sucks and that, even though the Broncos were able to come back a handful of times, it was NOT because of anything Tebow did.
