How Many More Hits Can Orten Take?

Yeah he doesn't have great pocket presence and certainly didn't have much of a pocket today at all.

I think once in awhile he's going to need to tuck it and scramble for some yards and slide to avoid the hits. The poor guy is getting pummeled, and the worst part about it was that Cordy Glenn had his first bad day in a long time, so not only was he getting the usual pocket collapse like we've had since Levitre left, but he also had the blindside issues as well because we could not handle those twists and stunts from the left side.

He never seems to care much though. Tough dude.

If we block like that against the Jets, Richardson and Wilkerson will kill poor Orton. We aren't going to fix it in a week, so we'd damn well better be able to run the rock and stay out of 3 and longs or we'll lose in NY.

Cordy was bad against the Pats too. Our bright spots on the line are fading.

Stuff like that happens when there is no continuity, and the good players on the line suddenly need to worry about other players doing their job correctly. Both Wood and Glenn benefited from the better play at LG from Levitre because they only needed to be concerned about their own jobs.

I have no idea why Whaley hasn't figured out how to evaluate O line talent, or brought in some decent players to help the situation.

If that Orten guy does go down with a serious injury I think we can forget about this year.

He trusted Marrone for OL input. Marrone was suppose to be a OL specialist and who better to listen to but your head coach. I was hating Marome all game until literally the last second of the game.

As we saw with Jax and Spiller today, the HC and GM need to plan like it is the next hit which will be the one which knocks Orton out of the game. However, the great players are ones who ignor this and play with virtual certainty of their health.

EJ better be ready as there is pretty clear likelihood he has not started his last game s a Bill.
