I’m so sad James Franklin is gone. He’s been living off of that fluke win vs Ohio state from the blocked FG for years. When was that, 2016?

I can’t even remember, but I’m gonna miss that ole pumpkin head

😂  I think that got buried in them 10 losses.  Must be the 3 wins vs Michigan!  Still a glimmer through the 7 losses.

Saban’s breakdown was great. I honestly feel that Patrica’s scheme/example is going to change college football. Other top teams are either going to copy this or get left behind. Not sure how many defensive coordinators run schemes so complex but the demand is going to rise I think.

I’m not personally but I’d like to see less Donaldson. He would be around the goal line only for me. Use him like the Steelers used Bettis at the end of his career.

I wouldnt say worried unless we run into a team that has corners who can shut down the passing game. At this point, I do not know if there is a corner in the country who can match up against Jeremiah Smith let alone both him and Carnell Tate. Currently the glaring weakness is in the interior OL and they know that. I agree that the Donaldson experiment needs to end. It should be Bo Jackson as much as possible. And I do not know if Julian Sayin has the ability to run and they just haven’t displayed it yet because we saw the same thing with CJ Stroud a couple years ago. Stroud never used his legs and all of a sudden started to run against Georgia it was super effective and we really should’ve won that game if it wasnt for the horrific defense and bounty on Marv’s head. So I really feel like they are saving a ton for the playoffs. Currently, they have slowed their game down so much that they have played the equivalent of one less game than what their schedule indicates they have played. This is an amazing strategy. My comfort level actually lies in the defense. The Matty Patty defense is a light years ahead of what Jim Knowles had last year and I think sayin is actually very far ahead from where Will Howard was.I also feel like in the playoffs when they get in the domes and the warm weather, there is just no way barring injury that The passing game will be shut down.

Agree with all of this, especially about how Ryan Day does seem to be putting on a masterclass about how to manage a roster and a playbook over the course of a long season and extended playoff.
