What is wrong with people?

Why would anyone beat a 7 week old child so badly to break both arms, legs, ribs and both collarbones?  This sick SOB should just be escorted directly to the fire squad.

At least he didn't leave the kid out in the snow. Thank God that particular bit of good advice on the TV news stopped that tragedy from ever happening...:D

I think we should resurrect public stoning for this farg.

Something greusome, horrible, inhumane and painful.

How about a boiling oil bath? Disembowelment? The death of a thousand cuts?

Gimme some good ones, people.

When I become Emperor, we will deal with such matters in a just manner. There will be a giant wood chipper and people like this will be feed through it feet first and fully conscious. We will be able to adjust the speed setting; 1 being slowest, 10 fastest. This guy would probably get a 2. Maybe a 3 if I was in a good mood.

Firing squad is too nicey nice. I say let him spend a weekend listening to my wife nag away. He'll beg for a firing squad in less than 2 hours. Seriously, how about you stake him down with a few hundred starved rats, instant Purina Ratchow. Stick his hand in a blender and hit "puree". Here's one: drag him out to see, shovel enough chum over the side to attract every shark within a hundred miles and then drop him into the middle of the feeding frenzy, dangle him a bit first just so he gets to really savor the moment. Look, fishing accidents happen all the time.

Are you sure you're not a conservative? That's a pretty gruesome imagination. :)

Can't do that. Innocent until proven guilty, then still not quite guilty enough to risk capital punishment.

He could still be innocent. Even after conviction he could still be innocent. In fact, since there is still a chance that he is innocent, he should be let out of jail and allowed to freely walk throughout society without risk of persecution by his fellow members of society.

It is better to let 100 guilty men go free, than to imprision one innocent man.

I'm your worst nightmare, a liberal with a mean streak. :)

Persuasive arguments are built with powerful metaphors. Most lawyers are writers not talented enough to be writers.

They should make him go to a bar in which someone lights up a cigarette with the consent of the bar owner.

Sorry, I couldn't resist and am NOT making light of the subject.

I did domestics for 3 years and have seen this and worse. There is not enough punishment for this person unless there truly is a hell.

No it isn't.

Where is your compassion? If he is innocent, he should not be subject to capital punishment regardless of a conviction. If there is enough potential to preclude capital punishment, then he should not be in jail either. Let him go.

Make him read BF's blog.

Better yet, lock him in a room with BF, Stevestojan, and ICE discussing life-management skills.

I have no compassion. How could he be innocent? Did the toodth fairy come into his house and beat his SEVEN WEEK OLD BABY?

Franky, I hope they split this bastard in two. Starting with the scrotum.

Innocent until proven guilty. He has not been convicted yet, as far as I know. Even if he is convicted, he could still be innocent because his lawyer may not be good enough to properly defend him. We need more compassion for people convicted of crimes. It's not their fault. There is always someone or something else to blame.

I am absolutely shocked at the lack of compassion of the neocons here. This guy has been tried, convicted and sentenced without hearing all of the evidence. He could be innocent, and you guys want the death penalty, which is very inhumane, BTW. Doesn't that make us just as bad, if not worse, than the ciminals themselves?

Where is the compassion for this man? It is not his fault that this happened. There has to be someone or something else to blame for this.
