Here's another terrific thread by the partisans.

"You're party sucks: Example here!"

"No, you're party sucks: Example here!"

Guess what? Both your parties suck and are selling us down the river. But feel free to defend their rightousness to the death against the other "evil" party. :w00t:

Good page in the Daily Show book "America" about third party votes. Giant picture of a graveyard with tombstones of third parties (and mottos for each party). A box at the entrance to the graveyard reads "place wasted votes in here."

For us Libertarians, the tombstone read: "Should have worn my seatbelt," which is a dig at us for our disdain of government control.

The Green party tombstone had a solar panel mounted above it.

The Democrat grave was being dug out.

Etc.

AD, how about changing your under-avatar sig to "Put-Down Artist." :w00t: Really.

How do you suppose it would be if Libertarians were in control of Congress? Or Greens? Or....? They can talk a good deal b/c they're on the outside. Truth is, if they're in there, they do the same thing. That thing about power corrupting and all.

You might be right, but you know what, how can you know until you actually vote the corrupt powers that be OUT?

It's really that simple. Keep the people you like. Jettison the people you don't.

95+% incumbancy in the Congress.

Well I guess we'll never know as long as people continue to argue about periphery and ignore the big picture that we're getting screwed nearly as bad it was back in Jolly Ol' England. But lets keep pretending the two are somehow different from each other, united in purpose and doing the best for their constituants.

Take the tax cut for example:

The Democrats think it went to the wrong place.

The Republicans thing it was fine.

Both are right. Both are desperately wrong. The government has access to far too much money and because of that are accountable to no one. Don't like what they have to say? Protest a little too vehemently? They've got more than enough money (power) to outlast all but the elites (who own them anyway).

Status quo sucks.
