Trying to draw the defense offsides never ever ever works.

Well, right. But in that situation the likelihood went from 0% to 0.01% because the defense was overly geeked to make something happen. I loved the Bills' motion on that play. Just a hilarious way to end the game. Pure enjoyment for this tortured fan.

I can't believe it worked.

This, willy.

Chan devised this play adding a wrinkle not shone before. McIntyre go in motion on 3rd/4th & inches. He never does that and all opponents know what he means to our short yardage pkg. That lineman knew Cory in motion isn't/was supposed to happen via film study and he got extra nrevous. FitzGeneral gave 1 more emphatic hut HUT & victory was ours. I saw that as Chan & Fitz.

We're also getting better @ the Victory Play! -Fitz looks experienced at it now.

I actually don't remember it ever working, after it is obvious that that is what is being done.........I also think that that is the time to run a play now, and I've never seen that. After fake hard count after fake hard count, the other team has to on it's heals a little.

Absofrickenlutely.

What about Stevie dropping that ball and THEN we go 2 more plays and punt against the Steelers last year :) But it was ALL his fault.

The Stevie play made us go from 100% --> ~55-60% chance of winning?

This play made the Eagles go from ~5% --> 0%...

So not really the same thing.

BTW this was mentioned on one of the postgame shows and I've always wondered the same thing - how hard can it be to to pick up 6 inches when the #1 thing on most DLmens mind is "I can't move, must not jump in case they don't snap it"?

I have seen it work about 3 times in the last 45 years or so. :)

Fitzy had a great hard count.

Yep. And Levitre did a good job reacting and getting the penalty.

In the post game press conference, Freddy said the play was called to either run or just try to draw them off (not run the play) depending on the look the defense showed. The one they showed was the "not run the play" one. So they wouldn't have gone for it.

I saw the Falcons bite on this against the Bucs, as mentioned above, earlier this year. The fact that the Bills gashed the Eagles on the run all day long also might have made the DL jumpy.
