Captain Caveman Posted September 14, 2011 Share Posted September 14, 2011 HIPAA doesn't apply to NFL players. The NFLPA has an agreement with the NFL that lets teams disclose whatever a player has. If they didn't, you would never know what a player is injured with. non-football injuries are not generally disclosed by the team. i would guess the bills had permission to release the info.
