sir andrew
Alright. Am I the only person who is wondering what happened to good old fashioned defensive, run the ball 13-10 games. It seems like the beginning of this year especially, we have quarterbacks putting up unheard of stats. Week one and there are 12 qb's with 300+ yards. I was wondering if the lockout could account for this or is this just the way football will be played from now on. National Football League, more like National Fantasy League. Sorry for the rant, just had to get that off my chest after watching brady put up over 500 yards passing. Discuss. GO BILLS!

silvermike
The passing record still dates from 1951. There have been other passing eras in the NFL.
Rockinon
The Patriots were playing a no huddle offense. Blitz baby. Get in Brady's face.
DasNootz
My gut says that Defensive Backfields and Offensive Lines would be the most impacted by the shortened pre-season. They don't rely on pure individual athletisism, and require the entire unit to be in harmony. Obviously, the offenses are ahead of the defenses right now. CSBill
and of course, the mad geniuse running the Pats knows how to take full advantage of that
