Post your guesses here, for fun, don't google it, just guess who you think it is, anyone can narrow it down with the interweb...

Awesome. So in year 4 we can expect Spiller to rush for about 1200 yards.

No, I think what he's trying to point out is you don't base a player just by their first year alone. Take a look a Tiki Barber's stats his first three years...

Att Yds Tds Lng

136 511 3 42

52 166 0 23

62 258 0 30

But in afterwards he lit it up. Not saying that Spiller is going to do the same or not. Just way too early to pass any sort of assessment.

Oj's first 3 years in the league. Heard this song before

That was fast... did you cheat and look it up? If not, I am quite impressed....

So, correct, we have a winner.... and the bust I was referring to resides in Canton, right next to the White Bronco parked out back hehehe...

So with that said someone else hit on a good point i was actually eluding to, which is that CJ Spiller will have to be given some serious game time to see what he has, and I don't think he will disappoint. I make this comparison because my Dad pointed something out to me. He said, "look at the way this guy runs, and moves his legs and feet, he looks so much like OJ Simpson it's scary" so I YouTubed a few videos, and sure enough I can see the resemblance, I really can.

So that got me thinking and did some research on OJ, remembering how it was said that early on Simpson was being referred as a disappointment until he finally broke 1000 yards. I'm not saying CJ will follow the same path, but who's to say he won't, and why is it so easy for a lot of people to not have just a little patience in him? He showed me more than I thought I'd see out of him last pre-season, and hold out hope he will be the eventual successor to Freddy.

Anyway.... thanks for playing along, I wanted to post something more fun than the usual (Insert player/coach/RalphWilson)SUCKS, is a bust, is a bad coach threads we all seem to post here from time to time, and I am one of them sadly.

Go Bills!

I happen to agree and I also like Spiller. I just think he came in and used his college moves thinking it would work in the NFL. It doesn't and he has figured that out. Some RB's don't transition too easily out of college (i.e. Cedric Benson) and once they get it....their talent takes over. I think CJ will be one of those guys.

Note that both OJ and Tiki had significantly better rookie years than Spiller did. There are other promising parallels, but I don't think its insane to be very worried about CJ Spiller. Rookie seasons are more indicative for RBs than other positions. We'll all keep waiting and hoping, but I feel much less certain about Spiller's talents now than I did a year ago.

Had to confirm before I posted, but I remember Juice having less than stellar stats coming out of college including consecutive years of only 5 touchdowns. Plus I think this was touched on the other day in another topic.

Which QB is this, and would you have cut him after these seasons?

Go Bills!

Look at Darren McFadden in Oakland. Raider fans were screaming "bust" and crying for Michael Bush the first two years he was out there. This season, his 3rd, he has a breakout campaign. I think Spiller is the same kind of player. It may not be this year that he busts loose, but I do expect a vast improvement from last season.

That's tough, I'll guess Terry Bradshaw? I honestly have no idea though...

bravo... now that I look at the games played, it almost makes sense, like when those guys in the movie "The Matrix" were looking at the digital version of the matrix on their monitors and said, I see a blonde, brunette, redhead... :)
