I love the first 3 rounds. I went Stocker (I ddint know we already took Rudolph but whatever, I would love to add both) Romsius, and Brewer.

I think we need 2 TE's from the draft or FA. I wonder if Fitz will know how to use 'em.

This round looks to be all but complete.

Question, however, for those who voted for him: What's the deal with Greg Romeus?

On a sidenote, you wonder how great UNC would have been if they had all their players on the field.

went mathews-romeus-brewer.

but i still think it has to be OT with our 2nd. maybe no one worth that still there though

Agreed. How much would you like to trade Shepard, Jenkins, and one of these 4ths for a shot at Sherrod or Carimi?

Astro, next time you do this, we need more OTs.

As in the real draft, you think some players will be available to you when you pick next, then they aren't.

That explains Kaepernick, as well as the OT's.

The good news is that well-scouted good RT's are available late. Carpenter, Brewer, and Hall are good examples, so all is well.

Would not do that even for a second.

Sherrod and Carimi are not locks to play LT and Brewer is probably going to be a solid RT.

You're buying a brand name with that trade and not really getting anything in return over Brewer

Didn't realize I was buying a brand name.

I want Sherrod (at least at first) and Carimi to play RT, which I think is the biggest hole on the team right now. And there has to be something in the over Brewer if they're gone in the first and he's around in the late fourth. Same applies to every player at every position.

Yeah because a player's potential is pre-determined and at #65 the team just takes the 65th best person, I don't even know why they bother drafting, they should just deal all the players out like cards.

No, but I think that's closer to reality than just equating the worth of a 1st and 4th round pick.

The difference in on the field performance you get from a RT taken at #32 to #99 is going to be surprisingly minimal. It just has to do with risk. The #99 in theory is going to have more risk to actually earn the PT.

From what I've read about Carpenter Brewer and Hall, they look like quality RT prospects. A great use of a 4th round pick.

Not to mention unless you have a left handed QB how is taking a RT with your first round pick going to make a huge impact on your team?

My point is why use a 1st on a RT? Let alone why trade a talent like Jarvis and a talent like Brewer for a RT?

I'd be more than surprised if there is no difference in on-field performance. I'd be shocked, and I have no idea what you are basing that on.

A RT helps in the run game and from the pass rush coming from that side. Just because a QB is righthanded doesn't mean he never gets sacked from the RT side.

For fun, why don't you find all the starting RT in the NFL and check out where they were drafted. Consider yourself shocked with the results.

Sorry, can't say I'm shocked. I haven't gone through all the teams yet, but of the final four, GB's was in the first, Pit's was in the second, the Jets' was in the third, and the Bears' was in the seventh.

Patriots, Eagles and Ravens also got theirs in the second. Colts got their in the fourth.

I'm not going to check every team, but if you would like to tell me where to look to be surprised, I would appreciate it.
