Pretty Obvious Today

Do any of you supposed Bills fans even read the game articles on the left side of the twobillsdrive.com page?

Do you?

Example:

BillsDaily.com reports: "For the 2nd straight week the Bills got annihilated in the stat columns in the first half. They were outgained 246-41. The Vikings had 17 first downs to the Bills 2 and turned the ball over three times before intermission."

And this is one of the more gentle reviews of the Bills.

The real story is why Buffalo went into the season with:

1. A LT who is returning from an ACL tear backed up originally by a former GB practice squad scrub. Now, it's anyone's guess who that is.

2. A RT who was a Raiders cast-off and predictably released. Now, the spot is held by a practice squad castoff from Seattle.

3. A swing tackle cut during the season, another signed as a UDFA during the season, and currently a guy from the Seahawks practice squad.

4. A chief backup interior OL with no one with NFL experience.

5. A RG, while promising, who was returning from a devastating injury. He's been dinged up this season, and the backup is a former Steelers practice squad guy.

When you enter the season razor thin in depth and with so little experience, it's inevitable that injuries will quickly decimate you. And people wonder why they have issues blocking anyone in the run and pass game. It is no consolation that the opponent had a solid pass rush because you've got to beat teams like this if you're ever going to make the playoffs. End of story.

But they played hard.

...just keep drinking that Kool-Aid!

Oh Noooooo, Bell had a bad day and the rest of this line is decimated. What the hell do you people expect. Yes the defense sucks but I believe this is about the o line. Fitz has had all day to throw before today and THAT is why he has been playing so well. Big surprise huh? My POINT is that it is pretty clear how well the this offense can operate when the line gives Fitz time....

If it was, then it's too often the "problem" for him.

Jared Allen's a maniac, and he bested our guy today, plain and simple.

But the rest of the line was equally atrocious.

The Vikings might have the best front four in the league, and once Handy went down, with Wood out of the lineup, our offense was suddenly over-powered and completely out of sync.

Just one of them days. Right now, I'm fine with Bell-Levitre-Handy-Wood, and I hope that core group can get back to health for next year. But they really do need to address that fifth spot, and they need to start grooming somebody to succeed Handy--which may ultimately be a successor to Wood, if he gets bumped over. Either way...ouch.

The offensive line was getting their butts kicked well before Hangartner went down. There was virtually no running game and Wrotto and Bell were getting roasted in pass protection. Bell didn't appear to be strong enough to handle Allen, who is probably a bigger and more physical end than he is used to facing.

Find that starting right tackle next year and keep the line healthy and this offense will be very good.....

Are you kidding the line played horrible BEFORE the injuries, Bell and Wrotto were getting crucified out there. Basically all we have are two good guards, who were drafted in the first 2 rounds BTW. What is obvious is that when the line plays bad so does the Offense.

Folks, you can make all the excuses you want. The Bills sucked before their injuries. For Christ's sake, they're 2-10. Accept the fact that they stink, and hope the NFL cancels next season so we can get a year off from them sucking hind tit.
