I guess the idea of "gelling" is for real. McGahee - plain old awesome. Lee Evans - hello Probowl for about the next 10 years. Moulds - still a work horse. Hopefully he'll still be here. Bledsoe - man, he impressed me yesterday. Expect for one sack he took that was ridiculous, he looked good. Our defense (LBs and DBs) are solid. And if we can use McGee for a kickoff return specialist, I think he would be probowl for ST's. So, this draft I think we need to focus on: DE. And I mean with our first pick. Then one solid DB. Please, we make the same mistake every year. If our O-line would not have taken so long to "Gel" we might be 8-4. I've yet to be able to find a coherent list. Either way, O-line needs depth, if nothing else. I would not be stunned to see another RB picked up. The Bills need a kicker. Having a rotation often works better, in today's NFL. 149310[/snapback] Their numbers are nice but to me with the Bills lacking a consistant pass rush threat outside Aaron Schobel is why this defense is good and not great. I really felt the Bills should have gone after James Hall or Lance Johnstone this offseason. Both have over 9 sacks this season. You can't tell me that added pass rush wouldn't improve this defense. That's while I'll call for us to go after Darren Howard or John Abraham in this coming offseason. As if the defense was slightly better we might be on the better side of .500 about now. I know the offense deserves some blame too as not saying we have a bad defense but feel it could be improved with a pass rusher. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yesterday's performance by Drew was against a 2-9 team, so you should take that into consideration. Seven turnovers, but only fourteen points off turnovers? Very below average. McGahee didn't even get 100 yards against a team missing most of its linebacking corps. Don Criqui didn't give ups any real props. Clearly we're a team on decline and you should stop trying to be so freakin' optimistic because the falseness of what you're seeing will come true next year while Losman begins his development. I mean, sure Lindell's stats arent that bad, but the guy just cant kick over 40 yards consistently. Thats scary. Why not have a weapon at kicker instead of a liability? In terms of the Draft, I'd like to see the Bills take a chance on Munoz if he is around in the 2nd round. Injuries and lack of playing time have hurt his draft status, but a year ago this kid was a surefire 1st rounder. If he's not available, I'd go for either the best O-Lineman available or another CB just in case Clements decides to split after the 2005 season. ATBNG Posted December 6, 2004 Share Posted December 6, 2004 It was a nice win yesterday, as any division road win is one to be cherished, but AJ Feeley and his Dolphins putting 32 points up is at least a little disconcerting. While TD works out which skill position player he wants for the future at each of the big 3 positions (QB, RB, WR), Father Time is working on a lot of the key guys on defense. Our #1 need is still Oline...they can gel into a great line, but if the talent level on the oline is just average then they can never be a dominant line. If we can keep improving our boys up front then willis will only get better and better because of this. Right now hes a big part of the oline's good play and on a lot of his runs he has to do the work on his own and find his yards. That being said grab a stud OLman...this draft is deep on the line and hopefully well get 1 or 2 players who can come in and make an impact. then we need db, s, te, de, not in any specific order. This draft is real deep in dbacks and pass rushing DE/OLB type players so we should come out of the draft with some good young talent if our front office plays their cards right. Free agent difference-maker DE's will be way too expensive for us. 3. With our current DE's as they are, and given the injuries to Milloy and Vincent throughout the season, we are still the #4 overall D, #4 in rushing and #9 in passing.
