I have over 400 CDs and am not sure I can answer my own question!

Right now, today, it would be:

1. Sonoran Hope and Madness - Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers

2. Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection

3. Ellen Reid - Cinderellen

4. Crash Test Dummies - Ghosts That Haunt Me

5. James McMurtry - Live in Aught-/Three

Hoping to get turned on to some good new/old music!

lol @ how far we've come that we consider something "crappy" for only being able to hold 5 albums worth of material in a convenient, portable player.

playing along, off the top of my head...

1. Beach Boys - Wild Honey

2. Rancid - And Out Come the Wolves

3. Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R

4. Torche - Meanderthal

5. R. Kelly - TP3 Reloaded

I always find these lists incredibly limiting and somewhat silly. Here is 5 good ones that I consider for my 5

Exile on Main Street

The Essential Jimi Hendrix

John Coltrane- Giant Steps

Norah Jones- Live in New Orleans

Trojan Box Set

I couldn't find a link to "New World Order" from the Tyranny album - it was voted the best prog metal song of the year, but I couldn't find it on YouTube.

Do they have to be albums? I'd rather pu down some awesome DJ Sets.

I'd throw on a couple Automatic Static sets by DJ Icey, Stan Courtois & Felly's Soulfurious Sessions, Will.I.Am's 2010 WMC UMF set, and either a set by Carl Cox, Pendulum, or Major Lazer (would be a tough choice).

Girl Talk is pretty good.

of course tomorrow I will have 5 totally different albums. Wait, let me add Red Red Meat: Bunny Gets Paid. So six albums, but this isn't an exact science

2. Captain Beyond: Captain Beyond

3. Glenn Gould: The Complete Original Jacket Collection (80 disks. That's cool, right?)

4. A Van Morrison album. (Probably one of the following: Astral Weeks, Moondance, Veedon Fleece, What's Wrong With This Picture?)

5. Chet Baker: My Funny Valentine

At least that's tonight's list.
