Cugalabanza Posted June 4, 2010 Share Posted June 4, 2010 The most difficult thing for me to understand in this world is how... a) a person can be so damaged and screwed up that they could become this evil, b) that a person this screwed up could still be functional enough to have influence, and c) that they could find like-minded lunatics to join them and actually organize their insane efforts. In my opinion, this phenomenon is the worst thing that exists in the world. And I do not understand it. It makes me want to secede from the human race. It makes me want to secede from the human race. its all an Andy Kaufman-esque act to drum up publicity and hopefully be attacked some day so they can sue and make money. that being said, that plan is almost even more evil as there are thousands of people dumb enough to actually buy into it. I love the fact that not everyone loved Andy Kaufman. To me, this guy was an absolute genius, and as "one of a kind" as it gets. One of my earliest memories from childhood was staying up late when my grandmother was in town to care for me while my parents were on vacation, and we saw the famous Fridays skit where they had the dinner scene with Kaufman and Michael Richards. I was only like 5 or 6 y.o., so I had no idea what was going on, but I remember my grandmother commenting on the show...she had never seen anything like that. Good times! OTOH, it's hours where the Westboro loonies weren't spreading their hate at soldiers' funerals. So I guess it's a good thing...relatively speaking.
