I finally disagree with Nix

The Bills do not seem ready to give up on Edwards, who went into last season with high hopes after going 12-11 his first two years and completing 65.5 percent of his passes in 2008. But Edwards suffered a concussion in the sixth game of last season that kept him out two weeks, then lost his job to Fitzpatrick for five games, then missed the last two games with an ankle injury.

Fitzpatrick went 5-5 for the Bills last season. Brohm was drafted in the second round by Green Bay in 2008 but couldn't make the Packers' roster last season and was signed by the Bills in November.

"There's three there that have got talent," Nix said when he took the GM job. "You've got to have some protection. It's hard to throw from laying on your back."

Lets talk about talent. Edwards...is a kitty. Weak minded, a chicken **** that is afraid to throw the ball how NFL top notch QB's throw it. Then again even if he had balls, which he doesn't, he doesn't have the arm to get it there. He 'pushes' the ball which is absolutely horrible instead of slinging it. He is, was and will always be captain check down. He is more fragile than a China doll. He has had 3 years and he absolutely sucks. Now other than a few Edwards lovers here, the Majority of fans are tired of this Bull **** and want him gone as evidenced by the rain of boos on him when he entered the NE game.

Fitz, Rams, Bungles and Bills and can't get a starting job at any of them. No one else other than Buffalo wanted to bring him in when we acquired him in free agency. He is nothing more than a career backup at best. Perry Fewell benched Edwards (shock) and let Fitz start. His performance was average at best...along with the rest of his career.

Brohm. The only reason some fans are on this guys jock is they heard his name from draft 'guru's a few years ago. The somehow think a guy who sucked in Green Bay, couldn't beat out a 7th rounder and land the 3rd QB spot on their roster is somehow suddenly going to turn into an NFL QB in Buffalo.

How can anyone believe in or actually think a QB that Marv, or Russ brandon brought in is going to be worth a damn? That right there should be a huge red sign signaling to ship all of their asses out of here.

So, it looks like Nix and Gailey are conceding the 2010 season, because the only way we are going to get a good QB in the draft is to suck so badly we are a top 2 pick next year. And that pretty much means conceding the 2011 season (if we have one) as well while he develops.

Maybe a trade for McNabb wouldn't be so bad after all

I don't care what Nix says about Edwards, Fitzy and Brohm. No way this draft goes into the 5th round without Buffalo having taken one of the QB's available by the 4th. In fact, I hope he doesn't pass on Clausen or Bradford if either one is still sitting there at number 9 overall, despite the huge need for huge tackles on both sides of the ball. If they are both gone fine, go for the best tackle first. But you are right, Nix and Gailey have to grab Pike, Tebow, McCoy or one of the other QB's that have a decent chance to play in the NFL to compete with the motley crew wasting space there now.

Well considering Aikman put up only 5298 yards in two years and had just 41 TD passes I would guess Bradford, Clausen and maybe a couple others might be the next 'Aikman'. It depends on what team they build around him AFTER they get them.

BTW the combined record for the Cowboys with Aikman his first two years was 7-19. After they built the team around the QB they ALREADY HAD, the cowboys two years later won the superbowl...against BUFFALO. Oh and did so the next year then a couple years later against Pittsburgh.

Get the QB then build around him, its the right way to do it.

Great taste......Less Filling....

Be aware of what time of year it is. It's time for GMs to start lying about their intentions about their teams in preparation for the draft. It could very well be that he is sending false signals to the league GMs. Let's hope so.

I am not giving it a rest. I have went back and watched video, and read all I could on Brohm and bottom line....he is nothing more than a 3rd stringer at best. But wait! Experts said he was good enough to unseat Aaron Rogers...oops. The guy is nothing more than a name that fans know that never lived up to the hype.

I mean if this guy was actually 2nd string in GB and pushing Rogers for the starting job and not practice squad material that can't beat out a 7th rounder for a job....THEN I would agree with you.

Come on bro, when they drafted Brohm, Rodgers hadnt played yet and they didnt know what they had him for sure. Brohm was an insurance policy...in fact, they drafted two QB's that year. Brohm, nor any rookie they would have brought in, including Matt Ryan, would have had any chance on unseating a first round QB who has groomed in their system for 3 years before he has even played. Rodgers was the unquestioned starter.

Rodgers then went out and showcased that he is a high level QB in his first year, there was never ever going to be a scenario where anyone was going to push him for the job.

Whats with the "never lived up to the hype" stuff? Seriously, do you have secret footage of him playing in some other football league, because last I checked he has played one game in his first 2 years...kind of hard to say he didnt live up tot the hype when he hasnt had a chance to play yet.

Hey partner, this isn't the 80's where if you sucked, you'd go from 2-14 to 4-12 to 7-8 to 12-4. You can turn around a team in one season as evidenced by the MIAMI DOLPHINS. Hell, they were 1-15 before winning the division, at least we won 6 games last year. I'm not saying I'd bet the farm that they're going to be good next year, but you don't have to go through the elaborate re-building process that you used to. I would bet you that at least 1, probably 2 teams make the playoffs next year that totally sucked this past year.

oh ya

I would not get too wrapped up in what these guys say pre draft. They did meet with Claussen and I suspect what they do is far more important than what they say.

Darth's whole concept is what keeps getting us in trouble

we really need a safety = we reach for whiner

we have to get a quick d tackle = mccargo

we really need a big tall wr = hardy

we really really need a pass rusher = maybin

what we really need to do is pick some good football players in the first few rounds

this draft appears to loaded with good front seven players on the d side and o lineman

By the way a very very weak qb's

Taking a qb for the sake of taking a qb just sets us back even further

and again i ask , who is your solution ?

There is nothing wrong with signing a Pennington or hoping Chan can get something out of what we have. What is wrong is draft a qb and paying his a fortune then find out what everyone is saying. This qb class sucks

Make this team a strong as possbile and when you identify a Qb you love , go all in to get him

The Jets made it to afc championship game with really no qb play at all

False signals?? About what? Nix's grand plan is to snooker every other GM into thinking we are set at QB? Holy Boss Hogg!

Anyway, the guys picking ahead of us don't care who we pick and those picking after us can do nothing about our pick. Any efforts to trade down certainly can't be "secret".

Shut the f up with this chicken stuff and no balls. You have never taken a hit from a 300lb guy who runs a 4.7. Enough already. Trent had arguably the worst line in the NFL, the weakest most timid coach not to lose HC, and garbage for OC's.

Trent will be the starter day 1. End of story. We will welcome you back to the bandwagon around week 3...
