1) Sam Bradford QB - Oklahoma

2) Brandon Spikes OLB34 - Florida

3) Eric Norwood ILB - South Carolina

4) Jared Veldheer OT - Hillsdale

5) Torrell Troup DT34 - Central Florida

6) Vince Oghobaase DE34 - Duke

6) Andrew Quarless TE - Penn State

7) Reggie Carter LB (but Dtek lists as QB??)- UCLA

While I'm no fan of Bradford and am very much opposed to landing our OT in the 4th round, I do think this draft would fill some holes...

A few things strike me:

- I'd be thrilled to land a QB as talented as Bradford at 9, but I highly doubt that he'll be around

- I think you have the positions for Spikes and Norwood switched. Spikes played MLB at Florida and is an ideal candidate for a 3-4 ILB, while Norwood played OLB in a 3-4 at South Carolina and is primarily a pass-rushing specialist

- Again, I'd really like Spikes at 41, but I just don't see him falling out of the 1st round. Not when teams like the Broncos, Dolphins, Giants, Titans, Eagles, and Cardinals have serious need for an ILB

- Love the Norwood pick, ideal rush LB candidate

- Also like the Troup pick. He can probably play the NT spot as a rookie...I'd also be on board with Cam Thomas if he lasted that long

- You really think Oghobaase lasts until the 6th? I know he played at Duke, but I remember thinking that he'd have been a 2nd-3rd round pick had he come out last year...my guess is no later than 4th for him

I, like you, also cannot fathom the idea of not picking up a starting OT at some point in the first 2 rounds, so I'm skeptical of that drafting philosophy.

Thanks for the effort.

Just my 1 cent.

With the Options this draft has in QB's, our current state of our oline, and the switch to a 3-4 Im doubting our drafting of a QB with the #9 pick. Im guessing that we will wait and see if one of the top OTs or DTs fall in or laps and if not we try and trade down because there os other OTs to be had later in the first round and use the other picks to zero in on McCoy in the early second.

Unless the Bills can get a veteran starting caliber LT prior to the draft they will almost certainly use their R1 pick to select one of the top LTs available.

Of course, if Bradford does slip to #9 overall, which could happen, then the Bills might have a tough decision to make depending upon how good they think he really is.

I'm all for selecting a top notch QB before any other position, including LT, but only if the Bills feel like he will be our starting QB for the foreseeable future (i.e. the next 5+ years). If Bradford is viewed as somewhat risky, then I would prefer that the Bills select a LT in R1 and try to acquire a vet QB like McNabb via trade.

Look at it this way, if the Bills select a LT in R1 most likely that player will be very solid for the next 5-10 years and will serve to solidify the O-line for ANY new QB who is made the starter.

If they select Bradford in R1 they may not be able to fill the all-important LT spot (since they are very difficult to find - there really none available as UFAs in 2010), which means that Bradford won't have much of a chance to succeed no matter how good he is.

I really think the best way to go is to trade for a proven vet QB like McNabb (i.e. give up a R3 or R4 in 2010 plus a cond. pick in 2011), trade down in R1 to acquire an added R2 pick, then select a starting caliber LT in the mid first round. Then sign NT C. Hampton or V. Wilfork to fill the starting NT spot in the new 3-4.

If we can accomplish just those three things we will be a much improved team in 2010.

1) Sam Bradford QB - Yes, I think he'll fall to us b/c Cleveland or Washington will get McNabb; but I trade my pick to the Vikings for their RD2 and 3 in this scenario. They dearly want Dan Williams DT, and I assure myself of Spikes and LeFevour in addition to my 2nd rounder (Jon Asamoah LT?) and 3rd Rounder (Terrence Cody DT).

2) Brandon Spikes OLB34 - Yes I think precombine drafts will have Spikes lasting this long, but he'll go before our RD2.

3) Eric Norwood ILB - Love this pick. This guy is the real deal and would look good next to Poz.

4) Jared Veldheer OT - This is the high potential pick with some risk, but he's immense, strong, and has leverage.

5) Torrell Troup DT34 - Very good pick for nose. I'm thinking you rotate Williams-Troup in the middle, or get Wilfork-Troup

6) Vince Oghobaase DE34 - Better as a 4-3 DT, but we're moving Stroud to DE, so...

6) Andrew Quarless TE - Okay pick.I like our TE's, especially Nelson. Quarless is an improving blocker and a 6'5" receiver.

7) Reggie Carter LB (but Dtek lists as QB??)- Good catch! He's a LB, and a good pick this late given our switch to 3-4. Have notified DTek about the misprint.

Don't sleep on Veldheer, he is talented enough to start at LT on opening day. I like, but with some changes.

1) Rolando McClain- need immediate impact player with #9 pick.

2) Best 3-4 DT available

3) Dan Lefevour- future franchise QB!

4) same

5) same

6) same

6) Please no more TE's, current roster is full of them. Go Big OL/DL

7) Naaman Roosevelt. Kick returner/Backup WR.

Let's not forget that there is a slew of OL returning from injury including everyone's replacement for Jason Peters, Demetrius Bell.
