My school (Marquette University) didn’t have football, nor did my son’s school (RIT), so I don’t really have a team I root for. It usually depends on the matchups. I always root against Notre Dame, big schools that have often won, and usually southern schools. So my preferences are teams like Oregon, Navy, Boston College, and Rutgers.

I was into the Yankees and baseball back in the Reggie Jackson and Billy Martin days, in part because there was nothing else during the summer. But then I got turned off by how the big money markets got such an advantage by signing the best free agents and just paying the luxury tax. I could care less about baseball now. i also was a Buffalo Braves fan, but once the owners and league screwed over the fans and broke up and then moved the team, it’s another league I could care less about.
