  1. The disney style parking is what still pisses me off. Meeting at Pole #1 in the main lot was a tradition from day 1
  2. The real reason I started this post was not to say that this team IS going to be different or WILL hit the ground running, it was to say that it is nice to finally feel GOOD about the direction of this team. The biggest pessimists out there cannot deny the new edginess to this team and the atmosphere that has been brought in by the youth movement (players and coaches alike.) I don't care if they prove me wrong (actually I do) and crap the bed again, the point is that I am going to enjoy every ounce of a good feeling this team is delivering to me NOW.
  3. Love that you mentioned the 4th quarter point because if these guys can keep it close going in to the 4th, that very well might be the defining quarter for this track team.
  4. This team has been absolute garbage for more than 10 years and even when those past teams put together a string of 4-5 games, you just never saw how they could keep it up. There was never a thought of wow, these guys have the talent to REALLY make some noise in this league. Well, here we are after 1 pre-season game and I have no problem getting excited about what I saw yesterday. You know why, I have not been excited about this team in forever and it's a hell of a lot more fun to feel like this than being in the mindframe that the team is spinning its' wheels. I am not going to wait until they win the division or are viewed as a contender, I am going to fire up this train right now. Get ready folks, this team seems like it actually learns from its' mistakes and I have a great feeling about the coaching staff in general. This is the fun part of being a Bills fan folks and if you can't bring yourself to be excited because you fear a letdown, then I urge you to let it loose. There will be ups and downs with this team but why not enjoy it while it's unfolding right in front of your eyes.....that parking lot for the home opener, ohhhhh myyyyyyyy
  5. I actually think they are better than the ones they have had before (which I hated, but still...)
  6. We had Art Donovan as a guest speaker for Super Bowl XXXV at our hospitality site and the guy was just pure gold. The stories and especially the way he told them were just classic. I still have the Super Bowl football he signed when he co hosted with Len Dawson at the event.
  7. I would have thought this was possible a week ago but now, I just can't see it happening
  8. I have been pretty reserved so far due to past experience but there is no holding it back any longer. Between EJ, the receivers, Keiko, Gilmore, coaches and just the overall atmosphere, it's game on for me. I REALLY feel as though this team has a chance to grow together as one and become special for years to come. I can't stop thinking about that drive to the Stadium on Opening Day and although that is always a great day for me, I think I am going to be trying with all my might to fight back some emotions. I already know what I am going to be thinking and it is that these guys are going to be the team that gives my dad that ever elusive championship some day. I just can't wait to see meaningful games in December again and hopefully that won't be too far off. Well, here is to a great season and to promising updates from Training Camp each and every day.
  9. Love reading the notes - thanks for the effort
  10. Favorite Grateful Dead Logo
  11. I would just trade this guy as soon as they get a good enough offer. He clearly is not a part of the future so, like the Ryan Miller situation, get the future playing sooner rather than later. The Bills players and coaches are all starting from scratch so let's get a guy at safety who will grow with the group as well.
  12. Pretty much hit the nail on the head as that is precisely what I was trying to get at here. I have not been able to read much of this with work but you are correct on what I intended.....
  13. Because the question was how he played after his wrist was supposedly healed....
  14. Good catch, although some of the stories I have heard over the years might lend to new race altogether
  15. Well, this is simply not true and if you would watch what elite safeties do to make the QB throw elsewhere, you will see that. And seriously, does the male race really have to use LOL - it's like a red flag every time I see it used.
  16. With the rotations that will be going on with this new defense, I am starting to think that Byrd is going to play a more important role. It just stinks that with all these seemingly positive changes going on, the Bills may not be able to hold on to one of their VERY few superstars. Although I still think Mario has a lot to offer, I am beginning to wish that that deal never happened (if it meant choosing one or the other.) Anyway, I am loving the direction this team is heading and the excitement of the players surrounding it. Win or lose this year, things are looking up and the week one game against the Pats is gonna be a hell of a place to be
  17. Bruins lose the Cup in Devastating fashion, Doc Rivers ditches the Celtics, the Pats star tight-end released for what may be murder charges......better put the red alert on the Sox
  18. Great move by the Pats and the only thing they could have done - kudos
  19. If he ever plays for the Patriots again, it would be a disgrace. If this guy was on the Bills, I could not get him out of this city fast enough. Just with the evidence I have heard, I would think he would never play in the NFL again but hey, these idiots tend to get away with murder all the time (literally and figuratively).
  20. He is not getting 9 million here so I think it is safe to say he has played his last down here (unless he chooses to play one year under the tag.) If your perception is that of other teams, he WILL get paid but no way in hell it happens here.
  21. I agree with this. Maybe I am missing something but the only time I really notice Byrd is when he gets the pick. Ints are nice but when I think of an elite safety, I think of a player that is just all OVER the field all the time, every game. He is nowhere near someone like Ed Reed or some of the other top safeties.
  22. I also have just an awesome pic and again I would NOT have asked him if it was a crowd but there he was just checking out the scene while his family was like 20 yards behind him. I would have kicked myself not getting the photo opp and did not ask for the autograph (the pic was a much better memory)
  23. I saw Stevie Johnson at an animal park in Varrysburg and he was standing there by himself (otherwise I would not have said anything.) Anyhow, I just said thank you to him for being a refreshing personality and much needed talent to this team. He said how excited he was about what is going on with the organization and that it should be pretty electric offense. I said you must be pretty excited about all the new weapons at WR and he mentioned that it is CRAZY talent and that Goodwin has super human speed. He added that the coaches are really putting the talent together to match the system. I told him he is going to be pretty pumped when the atmosphere at the Ralph gets back to that the level of the 90s and he said that he just loves watching tapes on that team and how fired up the crowd gets. He closed with "we'll get there and it will all be worth it." I didn't ask anything about EJ as I figured I lucked out with how natural the conversation already was. Anyhow, I thought is was pretty fun to just be talking with him like it was just 2 guys shootin the shiit
  24. Well Chris Brown was just on WGR and he said that Bills player (to a man) say they are reacting to these coaches like he has never seen before. I would say that is a pretty darn good sign.....
