Since Spiller had his best game as a pro on Sunday, does this change Boss Hogg & Cooter's minds about Fred Jackson and a contract extension? Are they finally feeling justified in drafting Spiller at #9? According to Buffalo Rumblings, they wouldn't be surprised if Boss Hogg rides Jackson's contract out. "Spiller looks like he has potential to be a Marshall Faulk-style of player that gets his yards on big bursts, kills the defense on draws and screens, destroys tackling angles with his speed, plays receiver, and can create offense for others with the attention he gets. This may seems like an overreaction, but don't be surprised if Buddy Nix rides out Fred Jackson's remaining contract, and commits to a Spiller-slash-power back combo in 2013. You're right. Fitz is not Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. Both Brady & Manning can carry the entire offense, Fitz needs a good supporting cast around him.

I know a lot of people are down on the Bills (including me), and people have been questioning Fitz's play since his contract extension. Granted, the team has sucked since the Toronto game. I don't know if Fitz has been playing hurt since getting nailed by London Fletcher. IMO, Fitz is a good QB and needs more weapons around him. Fred Jackson is 50% of the offense. The other legitmate weapons Fitz has are Stevie Johnson & Scott Chandler. If you compare the stats of Jim Kelly's 3 best years with Buffalo, with Fitz stats of this year, Fitz is not that far off. It's possible Fitz could beat Kelly's highest yards in a season. Right now, Fitz is at 3,329, with 2 games to go. Kelly had 3,844 in 1991, with a much better Bills offense. IMO, I think in order for the Bills offense to be successful, they need to draft a good #2 WR (assuming they resign Johnson) and another TE to compliment Chandler. If the Bills could get a good TE combo, like NE has with Hernandez & Gronkowski, along with 2 good WR's & Jackson & Spiller in the backfield, then the Bills will have a successful offense. If the Bills FO can't work a deal with Johnson in the offseason, then they should use the franchise tag on him. Johnson is the best Bills WR since Eric Moulds, it would be a huge mistake to let Johnson sign elsewhere.

IMO, the Bills need to get either better quality S&C coaches or hire more S&C coaches. Nix when took over as GM, he talked about the S&C coaches being a problem and hired 2 new coaches, but still, we're seeing the same results every year.

I took the kids out to dinner tonight at a Japanese steakhouse here in Fredericksburg, VA. There were two ladies already seated at the table (looked like they were mother & daughter). My son was wearing his Bills t-shirt which had "Posluszny 51" on the back. The ladies asked if we were Bills fans, and I said "Yes". The older lady said her nephew plays for the Bills. I asked who, and she said "Chris White." I asked how does he like playing for the Bills & Dave Wannstedt. She said he thinks all the coaches are very nice. She said that Chris was worried about a having a job next year, since he had his knee injury & went on IR, but was reassured by the coaches that he'll be back next year. Coming to Buffalo was a big culture shock for Chris, since he is a country boy & has never seen an inch of snow in his life. She said Chris likes Buffalo and is currently in Buffalo rehabbing his knee. She did say that Chris feels the strength & conditioning coaches are much better at the college level. Chris hired his own personal trainer to help with rehab, which is going good. Other than that, she said Chris likes playing for the Bills.

I completely agree. The best time I ever had watching the Bills, was when they blew out the Pats 31-0 in 2003. Scott Norwood was Jimmy's guest that day. The atmosphere at Jimmy's that day was incredible! I was literally worn out after the game from all the cheering (and drinking) we did during the game. How long did you live in Reston for? Were you there when they built the Wegman's off Rt. 28? You make good points. But, I still feel the Bills would have been much more successful if Bill Polian was still the Bills GM.

Usually at the start of the season (and while the Bills are doing good) Jimmy's Old Town tavern is loaded with Bills fans. But towards the end of the season, the place is empty. It's a shame, Jimmy's is a good place. The owner, Jimmy Cirrito is originally from Arcade, N.Y. They sell Beef on Weck, Sahlen hot dogs, Molson & Labatt's and have Weber's mustard at Jimmy's. I used to go there for every Bills game until I was finally able to get Direct Tv. I went there for a Sabres playoff game in 2007, and the place was loaded to the max.

The Game was in Buffalo & the Pats scored a TD on every offensive possession they had that game (think it actually was 56-10). By far, the worst game I ever seen the Bills play.

I'll have to put another hot avatar on. Like I told zepp, Mike Ox & I are good friends. I met Mike while watching a Bills game back in 2004 at Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon, VA (great place to watch Bills games), have been friends ever since.

You're exactly right BBForever. People are still making excuses for Evans, the Ravens are gonna do this with Evans, the Ravens are gonna do that with Evans. Flacco is Fitzpatrick version 2. On top of that, the Ravens have a great run game and throw a lot of short to intermediate passes. Donte Stallworth & TJ Houshmanzadeh were both in Baltimore and did nothing. What makes people think Evans is going to have a stellar career in Baltimore? The stats don't lie, but all the excuses do.

I know Evans had the ankle injury and missed some games, but 4 receptions, that is pitiful!!!

I watched some of the Ravens game yesterday, and one of the announcers said (after Evans made a nice 21 yard sideline catch), with that reception, Evans has a total of 4 receptions for the season. I supported the Evans trade, but 4 receptions for the year?! Nix looks like he made a great trade so far with that kind of production from Evans.

These points have been my points all along. But according to some on here, we're just suppose to keep supporting the team no matter how bad they're doing and no matter how long the team has sucked for.

So you're saying I'm suppose to keeping spending my money on the NFL Sunday Ticket (which keeps getting more expensive each year), keep going to games when I'm in the Buffalo area, keep buying Bills merchandise and keep "BILL-EVING" no matter how long the team sucks? Up until the Bills started tanking this season, I was just like you and would rag on people for trashing the team, but I realize now that if we don't voice our displeasure with the team, keep buying merchandise & going to the games, then the Bills FO will do nothing to change. Call it taking my ball & going home and call it lame, what's lame is how bad the Bills have been for so long and how lame the Bills FO is for putting such a bad team on the field for so long. But hey, keep being a "BILL-E-VER", maybe Boss Hogg won't be asleep on the first day of free agency. Maybe Boss Hogg & Cooter won't draft another luxury pick (like Spiller) in the first round again. It's one thing when a team goes through a rebuilding period and is not successful for a few years, but 12 years is ridiculous!! I'm so sick of the yearly let downs, wearing rose colored glasses and hoping that they are going to be better. It's tough year after year to find positives when in reality the team is dog crap!! If I want to voice my displeasure & frustrations with the Bills, I'm more than entitled to. Being a fan for 30+ years, all the money I spent going to games, all the money I spent on the NFL Sunday Ticket, all the money I spent on Bills merchandise, all of that gives me the right to B word about this team when for 12 years, from Ralph Wilson on down has shown no committment to it's fans of putting a winning product on the field. So you're saying that Manning just fell into Polian's lap? Ryan Leaf was hyped up just as much as Manning was that year. San Diego picked Leaf right after the Colts picked Manning at #2, and look at how well Leaf did. Polian knows how to build a winner, he took the Bills from 2-14 to the Superbowl, the expansion Carolina Panthers to the NFC Championship, the 1-15 Colts into a playoff contender and a Superbowl winner. Everyone around here seems to think Bill Cowher was such a great coach, but look at how long it took him to win a Superbowl? More time than it took Polian to win a Superbowl in Indy. Polian wanted to resign key players here in Buffalo, but Littman wouldn't give him the funds to do it. Polian has 6 trips to the Superbowl. So you're saying you wouldn't take one Superbowl victory? Really?! I’ve been trying to justify the Bills actions year after year, but I’ve finally come to a breaking point with this organization. After looking back at the past 12 years and saw all the terrible mistakes this organization has made, I can’t help being disgusted and frustrated. Every year, I spend over $300 on the NFL Sunday ticket, buy Bills merchandise and go to an occasional game when I get a chance to come up to Buffalo, and the team continually puts a terrible product on a field. Look at this from a consumer standpoint, how long would you continue to pay someone, who’s goods/services used to be good & you enjoyed, and then started putting out a bad product and hasn’t been able to correct the problems? 12 years of a bad product is more than enough. I don’t want to hear that this is Boss Hogg & Cooter’s 2nd year on the job, the problem starts at the top with Ralph Wilson. Look at how successful the Colts have been under Polian, 2 Superbowl appearances, 1 Superbowl victory, 10+ seasons in the playoffs, that still could have been the Bills. Next, John Butler & AJ Smith didn’t want to resign with Buffalo because of Ralph’s meddling. According to Eric Moulds, it was Ralph that made the decision to start Rob Johnson over Doug Flutie in the playoff game vs the Titans. Wrong decision at the wrong time. That decision should have been made halfway though the season, not at the end of the playoffs. What happened during that game, Johnson sucked for 58 minutes, got sacked for a safety and fumbled the ball, which gave the Titans a total of 9 points off turnovers.
