Jerry Jabber replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jay Skurski @JaySkurski 43m43 minutes ago Second set of 11 on 11s, the 4 QBs had 12 drop backs. The unofficial results: 4 for 7, 5 sacks. 1 completion from Matt Simms of 10+ yards. Jay Skurski @JaySkurski 1h1 hour ago So far in 11-on-11 there have been 10 passes. Only positive play was a defensive pass interference on a ball that might've been uncatchable. -

Sal Capaccio @SalSports 34s35 seconds ago EJ just has his best pass of day. Fade right over top of DB to Gray on sideline. Very nice. Maybe a ball he doesn't throw first two years. -

Mike Rodak @mikerodak now Taylor, Cassel and Manuel went a combined 11 for 11 in the first 7-on-7. Life is easier without a pass rush. -

I'm just curious as to why we're hearing two different things from the Bills reporters (Sal & Joe). We all know the Bills QB's are not elite, but is Joe B. down on all of the QB's because they're not elite/Top 10? With the QB's, we know Cassel is a journeyman QB, Manuel has been inconsistent, and Taylor is an unknown as the only real playing time he's had in the NFL has been in the preseason. -

Just curious as to the different reports between Sal C. and Joe B. from yesterday? According to Sal, the QB's had a good day and Tyrod Taylor stood out, but Joe B. made it sound like the QB's just improved a little bit. Seems like Joe B. is becoming more of a negative Nancy. Mike Rodak @mikerodak 14s15 seconds ago Not spotted at Bills practice today: Chris Williams, Aaron Williams, Alex Kupper, Tony Steward, Wes Miller, Cam Thomas -

Mike Rodak @mikerodak 3m3 minutes ago Even with Seantrel Henderson back at practice, Cyrus Kouandjio continues to run at first team RT in warmups. Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia 1m1 minute ago Henderson didn't line up with either the first or second-team offensive line at the beginning of practice, though. #Bills -

http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/06/12/bills-mailbag-by-vic-caruccilack-of-cap-puts-a-dent-in-spending/ A reader asked a question to Vic about EJ Manuel’s development under Doug Marrone and his coaching staff and Vic had the following response: "I say: There is plenty of validity to that. From what I’ve heard from the current Bills coaching staff, Manuel has gotten minimal technical/mechanical guidance since arriving in Buffalo as a first-round draft pick. The opinion of the current coaches is that he pretty much has been on his own the past two years in developing his game. And that has been reflected in his performance through offseason workouts." With that being said, it's hard to be down on Manuel given how inept Marrone and Hackett were. There were early reports saying if Manuel does not win the starting position this year that he would be traded by the start of the season. I don't know if Manuel will win the starting job this season, but I feel he should be given more time given the two bozos that were running the offense for the past two years.

Jerry Jabber replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Jimmy, Happy belated birthday! I hope all is well! I know Rex had success his first two years with the Jets, then bottomed out. Was it more because the GM didn't give him all the tools he needed (players, coaches, etc...) or did other teams figure out his style? Also, can you point out things that Rex did very well and things that weren't so good. In regards to the Bills, they in fact hired a great coaching staff. I'm really excited to see what Greg Roman will do for the offense. Roman's offenses in SF were in the Top 5 the last three years as he ran a run heavy offense, which he will do with McCoy. No one here is expecting any of the Bills QB's to be a Top 10 QB, just an Alex Smith type QB (game manager who will not lose you the game). With having the #4 ranked defense and the #2 ranked special teams, I can see the Bills playing deep into January with all the talent they loaded up on offense: McCoy, Harvin, Watkins, Woods, Charles Clay, Jerome Felton, Fred Jackson. The Bills will surprise a lot of people in the NFL this year. Gailey was a good OC and I wished the Bills had him here last year running the offense (just not the whole team). I'm glad Marrone is gone as he played an ultra-conservative offense. Todd Bowles was a great DC for Arizona, so we'll see how he does as HC. I know people here in Buffalo questioned Mike Pettine and how well he would do as DC without Ryan before he came to the Bills, so we'll see how well Bowles does without Arians. Jets look to have a very impressive defense, but if you guys are going with Geno Smith, then you could finish like the Bills did last season 9-7 and missing the playoffs. Jimmy, P.S.: J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS...S-U-C-K SUCK SUCK SUCK!!! Just busting your balls, but the Jets chant is annoying!
