Funny how this is a hate trent forum, but no one has commited on how terrible the run game was... or how completely terrible the blocking was. It must be super easy to blame one person.. who are u people kidding, the whole offense sucked. Get over ur hatred, the guy is the only one who scored a td. Jesus.
The only reason that TD is scored was becuase of a blown coverage by the Phins otherwise that 4th and 11 would've been a 3 yard dump off. Sure the whole offense sucked but he was a large part of it.

I've reserved judgment on Edwards, was even encouraged by the pre-season, but I'm done. Just cut the cord and bench him. Start Fitz or Brohm. He just cannot play. Starting him leads the team to despair.
My impression of Gailey is that he is not a sentimental man and if a player can't play, he will see it and go in another direction. I hope he has the guts to quit trying with Edwards.
Your words to Gailey's ears. This team will go 3-13 if we're lucky w Capt terrible as the QB.

It's way too early for this. It's not yet proven that we need a LT or a QB. Especially after the last tow preseason games.

Jevan Snead was a potential 2nd-4th round pick that ended up a FA and is now on the street. Its a huge crap shoot in April. Right now its not even food for the shoot!

Pick me. RBs are a dime a dozen. What you need is a line.
I hope Spiller is amazing but I'd rather have 5 good linemen and 2 lousy RBs than 1 good RB and 4 joke lineman.

I dont get it. 1 preseason game and everyone is already talking about how bad we'll be. This is getting ridiculous. Please tell me WHY we cant be a decent team this year? Because we dont have any QB's? And how are you guys juding it? Based on 1 preaseason game. Gimme a break. All the reports from training camp are good on Trent, and suddenly he has a few bad drives, and thats it, hes the worst QB in Bills history. And because of this game, we're going 0-16 this year, according to some on TBD. I guarantee you that if we were to light it up against washington, everyone would be talking about us going all the way. Please, lets smarten up TBD.
Most preseason rankings had us @ #29-31. So the game only proved their point. Hopefully they'll be all wrong but it doesn't look good.

Considering that we lost two running backs to injury maybe Buddy is a clairvoyant and knew his team would need a running back since he sure as heck knows we can't live by the pass!
I'm no doctor (Idon't even play one on TV) but they should both be ready for regular season. They're veterans and shouldn't need the preseason as much as spiller.

My biggest beef is that Nix & company RAN to to podium to select Spiller ( who hopefully turns out to be the next C.Johnson). It sure would have been great to pick up an additional 2nd or 3rd rounder and slide 3-6 spots. I know it takes two teams to make a trade, but you cant make a trade if you're running to the podium. Especialy for a position that e are deep at.
What if Eric Berry or Haden was available @ 9 and was rated the best on NIx's board and became the pick? We'd be screamin for their heads!

Brian Orakpo played LINEBACKER last year on a team devoid of linebackers. Aaron Maybin's bosses put him at DEFENSIVE END on a team with veteran defensive ends. Orakpo probably would have had similar production on the Bills as the coach was trying to save his job.
Another interesting Orakpo stat: He had 8 or so of his 11 sacks against the likes of Oakland, Tampa, KC and Detroit with NO sacks and about 8 total tackles in 6 games against the NFC EAST. To compare Maybin's '09 season to Orakpo is like comparing Malcolm Jenkins to Jairus Byrd.
Another interesting stat: Maybin had ZERO sacks against the entire schedule last year.

Pretty sure PKing had the saints around 18-24 last year and they turned out just fine. He is a writer that needs to fill space every week, Sometimes he makes mistakes.

Yea well, it is a win now league and I think if this new HC and GM falter big time and go 1-15 or winless, then they can kiss their 2-3 year plan goodbye.
That would be a very painful/difficult year. Followed by a lockout. NICE!

14-1 for the vikings looks tempting. I guess it would be more of a favre bet. If he comes back those odds will go down.
I hit w the Saints last year @ 18-1. the other team i had Houston @ 25-1.
I like the vikes but i like odds higher than 15-1 or so. I also like the Falcons @ 25-1. I still like Houston but they have the toughest scedule in the league so i wont play them this year. I think the NFC is the weak sister to the AFC. Niners wouldn't be a bad play w the right odds. (although I like teams that have some recent playoff experience and they have none).
When I was in Vegas last April there was quite a discrepancy in these odds from casino to casino.

We now draft BPA (best player available) So there's a chance it could be a DB. We we're loaded at RB and took Spiller.
Let's hope BPA isn't a punter, cause I think Moorman has a few good years left.
