  1. Its already been posted that some reporters were not impressed with Rian Fitzpatrick's skills at mini camp and the OTA's ...... well add our very own Vic Carucci to the list.

"The Bills desperately need to upgrade their quarterback depth. It was actually painful to watch Ryan Fitzpatrick, the free agent they signed from the Cincinnati Bengals to fill the No. 2 role, throw passes during practice. His throws often lacked zip and accuracy. On multiple occasions, he would fire the ball at the feet of his receivers, or throw wobbly passes that were uncatchable. Gibran Hamdan, an incumbent backup, didn't do a whole lot better."

Who's still out there that's worthy??? I happen to believe Carucci is pretty darn good so if he says it then we in trouble if Trent goes down. We need to address this ASAP.

And please no Mike Vick. I'd rather have any of the posters play before Vick

Isn't Griese still on the street. Hell Even his father would be an upgrade.

  2. Yet another fool who doesn't understand the difference between a comparison and a hyperbolic analogy. But I'll bite...why can't I judge the guy for torturing and killing innocent animals? What piece of evidence could be possibly make this forgivable?

Couldnt agree more. This POS "enjoyed" watching and backing the entire operation. Its not like he only attended one of these events.

  3. They will forfeit their 3rd round pick in next year's draft. No other player was selected. I know some here thought the Bills might have an interest in this guy. He would have been suspended for his entire Senior year for testing positive for banned susbtance.

Anyone know how the supplemental draft works? Would we know if any other team made an attempt to grab him with a lower pick?

It was reported on NFL.com that 3 or 4 teams would have used their 4th round pick to get him, The site did not say who those 3 or 4 teams were.

  4. I left 13 years ago.

    The things I miss:

    A. Family & friends and knowing you're "home"

    B. Food

    1) Might taco

    2) Ilio's

    3) Beef on Weck

    4) Canadian beer

    C. My personal historic places... Played footbal @ the Annex, used to bowl Blasdell lanes... 1st place I got drunk...etc.

    D. BIlls & Sabres games.

    E. The less hectic pace of life

    Things I don't miss:

    1. The $#&*ing weather!

    2. The whole world is against Buffalo mentalilty

  5. Bought the place for 8.8 mil in 2005 and hoping to sell for 23.75 mil in 2009? Has anyone told Aby the days of flipping homes are pretty much over? It looks really nice, but I would figure back when it was 8.8 mil, it was nice.

I can't imagine what the upkeep for Marino's place would be.

Taxes and insurance would run about 26k a month based upon a selling price of 12million, I would love to see his electricity bill.

  6. The hiring of Jauron essentially means that Marv was responsible for roughly the same amount of losing seasons as TD.

Hard to believe, but there it is.

Draft wise, TD was not good, Mike Williams et al. But did Marv do better? An over-rated Whitner, a couple of busts, a few diamonds in the rough. Not great though.

Maybe it is equal in futility, Marv and TD?

Who ever the the aZZ hole was who couldn't get along with Polian. That is the guy that sent this franchise into this current never-ending spiral

  7. I like 'POZ' as well as:

    Bryce or Paup

Marv or Marvelous (Hagler was my favorite fighter)

"Ziegler" if it's a German Sheppard

"Ballard" if its going to be a BIG DOG

"Flutie" if its going to be an A-hole dog

  8. I'm OK with the trade. I would rather another hole wasn't created, but the situation wasn't 'fixable'.

I think we got pretty good value considering how he played last year. How good would he have been this year wakling into in 1BD in week 10? He just isn't worth the 11 1/2-12 mill per. Now the team has an extra hole with extra picks to fill it.

  9. Qwksilver, 9th string SS

    Canisius, NSU MBA

    Age:38

    5’10.75”

    205 lbs

    225 rep maybe once.

    5.5+ 40yd

    12” vert

Broad jump: as often as possible

Pro: Loves to play in the box as much as possible. Sure ankle tackler and has been known to get ball carriers to fall/trip over his blocked body. With his education he has a full understanding of the Bills business model and will do anything to help sell tickets. Can throw a tight spiral without spilling any beer. Highly competitive in bowling( 19 300’s) and poker.

Con: Although his SN is Qwksilver there is nothing ‘QWK’ about him! Has no bubble at all and most of his other muscle mass is in his brain. Hasn’t played a down of organized football in 22+ years and it shows. Will not fight for the ball in the air. And not much of a ‘plucker’.

Projection: UDFA could bounce between Bengal’s and Bills’ practice squad for a few weeks before an early retirement from the NFL.

  10. Freeman is surging up the boards lately, a la Jason Campbell and Alex Smith in years past. My problem with the trade is that it makes zero sense for the Jets. Why would the Jets leapfrog to 11 when none of the teams in-between would take Freeman?

Most of the mocks I've seen have the Bucs very interested, Apparently there is a ex-Kansas State coach now in Tampa, If both teams really WANT him the first team to trade up gets him, he wont last till the Jets pick.

Not sure the Jets trade with us maybe Denver @ 12, I could see Tampa moving to 11 tho to get Freeman.

  11. UPDATE:

    per rotoworld.com:

Donte' Stallworth's lawyer and Miami police are reportedly negotiating the terms of Stallworth's surrender.

Stallworth is facing a possible DUI manslaughter charge, which would carry a 15-year jail sentence if he's convicted. Miami's WSVN reports that even with a plea deal, a manslaughter conviction would still carry mandatory jail time. Stallworth's blood test results are due on Friday, with three separate sources are already reporting that he was over the legal limit.

    He's going to jail.

Also to update I'm hearing the BAC was .14 vs .12 (reported on tv CBS 4 in miami.)

  12. Keep in mind, these draconian limits. Have 2 beers the next hour, and get into your vehicle. Are you incapacitated, incapable of judgment?

    Probably not.

I don't diminish drunk driving. But there is nary a State that doesn't nail folks with a few drinks in them, extract a nice buck out of their pockets...all the while having a solid core of real problem drivers.

And when they are finally hauled off the road and incarcerated, the politicians scream at the courts and the police forces, so they can get some face time.

Here in OH, we have checkpoints - all passing the route they set up on, are stopped. The assumption is...guilty - prove your innocence.

These are only set up in good weather - almost always funded by the general taxpayer - federal $$$.

Curiously, there are no checkpoints in the colder months. So is it so, that there is no drunk driving then?

This is a very touchy subject. Really feel to the family.

I agree with most of what you said.

To add to it, isn't a BAL of .012 different for everyone? Meaning that the higher a BAL isthe more it is supposed to affect decision and reaction times. But how can this be the same for everyone?

ALso He PASSED the road side sobriety test. <-- I would be nervous as #$%k and fail miserably.

    Suck for everyone involved!

  13. Cutler 4526 yards 25td's 18ints 86.0 rating

The guy is still young and he's good. Kiper's mad because he pegged him as a bust and now he's succesful.

I think there is still upside, the INT's should come down

IIRC didn't the the Pats stick it to their old OC by letting it be known that he was on the block in the first place? If Devner thinks they cant bury the hatchet, they should trade him to the Jets for the 17th pick this year and maybe 1st or 2nd next year. (a good way to stick it to the pats) But that's just me I'm kinda spiteful that way.

  14. The left guard situation is bugging me. Great to have some elite WRs but everyone is gonna blitz up the middle unless we solidify the interior o-line. The TO signing makes Roscoe expendable. McKelvin can return punts. KC needs some playmakers and Roscoe will remind them of Dante Hall. Throw in a 6th and let's grab Waters. Thoughts?

How about Roscoe and a 2nd + 7th next year for Gonzo and waters? any thoughts?
