  1. Mayock thinks he's one of the best LBs in pass coverage he's seen in a while. FWIW.

I think Mayock may be the best in the business but what ever he says about BC players you have to take with a grain of salt due to those rose colored glasses he wears while watching BC tape.

That being said Kuechly is starting to grow on me.

  2. Agreed. There's no comparison between the 2. Poe is why the combine is dangerous. He's got a mike mamula feel. He wasn't even 1st team Conference USA.

Hill played on an option team with suspect qbs & still made plays. His school had a recent history of producing good wrs: Megatron & D Thomas. I don't know about Hill at 10, but he fits what this team needs in the receiving core.

Hell even Mamula was all big east and had 25+ sack in 2 years @ BC. Poe has done squat except run fast in shorts.

  3. Lately, it seems that Poe has been losing steam, that despite being a freakish athlete, he has very pedestrian on tape in a small conference (5 sacks total, only one this past year). Mayock even has him as the 4th highest DT. Hill, on the other hand, has been gaining steam, with some people saying that even though he's raw, he can still win 1-on-1 match-ups in the red zone and catch the deep ball immediately, leading to a good number of TDs for a rookie.

Now, I'm not saying that both of them, or even one of them will still be on the board when we're on the clock in the second round, but my question for all of you is this: if both of them are still on the board in round 2, which do you take and why? Do you even take either? Do you pass on both? Let me know what you think.

Hill's lack of production (due to playing in a wishbone running offense) will not hurt him as much as Poe's lack of production in a smaller conference. I think Poe may be there @ 41, not so sure about Hill.

  4. Based on the fact that Coples is a one year wonder and lazy, he won't be the BPA (according to the Bills). Buddy values players that are long time collegiate starters, team captains, etc, and hates one-year wonders. Even if the mock draft morons experts deem Coples as BPA, the Bills won't. He'll be lower on our board for the reasons listed above.

+1. Nix has stated that he will not reach for a DE @ 10 and that was before he signed the 2 De's in FA

  5. I like all three of these players, especially Gilmore who I hope slides to us in the 2nd round. Do you think we can rule out Melvin Ingram at this point though? I just don't think we take a player at #10 to fill a position at which we already have a great deal of depth and two starters. I just don't think Ingram's talents would be best suited for 4-3 OLB. What do you all think?

Like when they drafted CJ with the RB depth we had then. You can't rule anything out. It will be BPA.

  6. .The biggest need on our roster right now is #2 wr by far. People forget last yr that our offense got figured out. Teams started to stack the box to take away our run gm and our short passing gm. There was no threat for downfield passing gm. I love the idea of trading down and selecting M Floyd. I think the Bills will take him either way, whether we trade down or stay at 10.

This would be a great draft.

    #1 WR= M. Floyd

    #2 DE= V Curry

    #3 OLB= lavonte David.

I like this draft also, but who's going to protect Fitz's blindside?

    #1 OT= Martin

    #2 Wr= Jeffery

    #3 BPA front 7

  7. Proven guy, he's 25, perfect speed guy opposite shifty possession oriented Steve Johnson, ready to produce. Most rookie WR'd do NOT contribute yer #1. I dont see a better way we could spend our #1 pick and get the most bang for our buck. Fill a glaring hole at #2 or 1b however you call it, and the guy is proven, the bust factor is minimal. Only downside is he would require a newcontract very soon, bjt who cares let's be in it to win it. Lets surround Fitz with everything he needs to be successful and give this our best shot of getting into Post season!

Also the player drafted @ 10 will be a cap figure of 4-5mill yr. Your guy will cost way more than that and we have other holes to fill as well as sign some of our own (Levitre, Byrd..etc).

  8. TC how exactly do you pick the 5 players?

Not that anyone has won this over the years, but this year's players seem more difficult.

Version 3.0 (post FA) 4/17/12 10 days predraft

1: Ryan Tannehill QB - Dolphins

2: Michael Floyd WR - Jaguars

3: Courtney Upshaw OLB - Patsies*

    4: David DeCastro G - Chiefs

5: Luke Kuechly LB - Seahawks

  9. Seems like every year Bills fans whip themselves into a frenzy about free agents coming to the Bills. Perhaps this year was different because even certain members of the media contributed to the frenzy with tweets and texts about imminent deapls. Rubbish. Big names will only visit the Bills to drive up their value or gain leverage with their own teams. Can you blame Meachem for choosing a city with the best weather in the country over one with...well...not the best? In the midst of the craziness yesterday, Hasselback from ESPN said he had no idea why Williams was choosing to go to Buffalo first. I think we have our answer now. Let's face it. The Bills can't catch the big fish. The best they have done since the playoff run in the '90's is throw in their line and caught the fish that most teams would throw back in the water.

Really this all falls on RWilson again. After all, he did not nove the team when he could have.

  10. If they are not going to land Williams or Jackson (which is fine), they sure as heck better be getting one DE and WR just a level below those two. They are going to HAVE to overpay so just expect that in the process.

Colston, Garcon, Lloyd, Meachem at WR

    Mincey and Wimbley on D

Buddy just said hoping to have their larger targets wrapped up by Friday. I REALLY hope he knows what he is saying because there is a LOT of hope floating around out there....

Garcon and LLoyd are both listed only at 6 feet even I think Buddy wants a tall 6-4" type.

Also I hope it's not Mincey as he had 5 of his 8 sacks in 2 games vs the colts ( so 3 sacks in the other 14)

Wimbley and Meachum would make me very happy.

  11. Not a fan of Michael Floyd in the 1st round. My personal belief is not to take a WR or RB in the 1st unless it's a generational talent like Calvin Johnson. I just think you can get good value at those two positions throughout the draft.

Plus this kid has a bit of a drinking issue. If he can't control it when he needs to when he's in college how well will he do with millions in his bank account. I think he slides because of this. Talent alone would put him in the top 10.
