Must be something about the Cardinals coming to town.  I seem to remember a punter missing the ball because the wind blew it back at him before his foot hit it....pretty sure it was against the Cardinals and about that era.

Haha...I remember watching this game...if I remember correctly there was a 1 yard punt that ended up getting caught in the wind and blown backwards.

When you see something close to the lean that Bruce had now it's from much smaller players like Von Miller.........basically OLB types.

Bruce actually came into the NFL the same size or larger than Reggie White(Bruce was 300-310 at VA Tech and as a rookie in Buffalo,  Reggie played at 290 but was often over 300).

Smith knocked about 50 pounds off of his frame to become the specimen he was.

Smith played at around 265 most of his career

    ......until he doesn't have Brady.

Andy Reid has coached 22 years and has a winning record (over .500) without Mahomes. Again (and again and again again) BB does not have a winning record without Brady. You can keep arguing with me but that stat is not going to change, as a matter of fact I bet good money that it will get worse as the season goes on.

Your logic (and that of the other guy with the man crush on BB )  is pretty illogical. All that matters in sports is Wins and losses and BB has more losses then wins without Tom Brady.

..........BTW, aren't you the same guy that was saying we would lose against the Seahawks and the Patriots? Maybe you should take a little break from giving "High IQ" football opinions.

Lmao! Sounds like they are more opinions coming from the short bus.

Yeah on week 17, we’ll see how that thin blood of his holds up in late December in Buffalo. To my knowledge, he hasn’t played in any weather remotely similar to that

Might not be that cold unfortunately...us, like much of the country is supposed to have well above normal temps this winter...I remember several years ago when there were quite a few 50 and 60 degree days here in December...in fact I specifically remember on Christmas Eve being out working in a short sleeve shirt because it was in the mid 60s and sunny...

Hopefully on gameday they get a nice dose of polar vortex tho hahaha

  6. Allen's movement in the pocket is just amazing....it is so subtle a lot of times and he just instinctively knows how to slide around enough to open up throwing lanes or buy a little time to let his receivers come open.

So good...Brady was the best at this but Allen isn't that far off.

I have trouble getting through his videos, to be honest.  He doesn't really know how the reads on the play are structured.  Yes, on the first play he talks about John Brown was wide open, and it's 100% fair to point that out.  But then he assumes that's the first read and goes from that to saying Josh Allen's vision concerns him.  That kind of thing.

I know he's knowledgeable, it's just an individual style preference thing for me.

    🤷‍♂️

Maybe it's based on how the route concepts work?

Your absolutely right about this and most teams will abandon the run if you jump out on them. That’s why when you look back at the rams game how impressive that was to stick with the run while down so many points if they would of forgot about the run no way they climb back in that game

Ironically the reason the Rams came back from a huge deficit to take the lead and almost win is because they DIDN'T abandon the run and kept gashing us in the run game.

  9. Says the Bills should have an average of 4.7 wins, meaning we have 2.3 wins more than expected based on point differential, which is the same as the Steelers who should have 5.7 wins.

Bills are the 9th "luckiest" team after 9 games since 1960, Steelers the 8th based on this metric...

That being said the Bills area also ranked 7th in their ELO ratings at 1607 and they project an 11-5 record for us...meaning apparently they feel we will keep being lucky...

I feel that it really worked vs Seattle because they refused to throw screens.  Chase Edmunds is a little dynamo on screens.  It’s gonna be interesting to see if we can contain their run game (rbs and Murray).  Collapsing the pocket while filling their lanes is going to be the key to the game imo.  Other than scoring points

Hopefully they found what they were looking for.  We confused RW.  Kyler has been known to throw some bad passes.  Let’s keep this Trent going.  Contain Murray in the pocket and we might dominate

Murray is great at throwing from the pocket(6th best in the NFL) but terrible at throwing on the run or outside the pocket(2nd worst in the NFL)...we need to force him to throw while moving and not let him just stand around.

  11. I love it!!  I would rather give up a big play or two then let wide open receivers catch balls all over the field on us due to zero pressure and the QB having all day to throw.

“We’ve figured out something that we believe is working, and been a lot more aggressive these last couple of weeks, so we’re staying with it,” safety Jordan Poyer said.

half my high school team was cycling roids and they’re were no superstars.  I’d assume more nfl players did than didnt.

Steroids don't magically take below average athletes and turn them into superstars.  They basically raise you up one level or so...so a good athlete can become great. Or a fringe starter can become a regular starter.  They are not going to take a 3rd string QB and make him into Joe Montana.  Just not how that works.  You still have to have athletic talent and ability.

JJ Watt, prior to injury, averaged 17.25 sacks per year as a 3-4 DE. White in the 46 lined up as a DT, not a DE.

Bruce averaged .7490 sacks per start during his career and White averaged .8684. Yes, I think a 4-3 DE has a higher likelihood to generate sacks, but I think it's lazy to site that as a main reason to say Bruce was better, which in my opinion, he wasn't. White was a 3-4 DE in it's truest form. He just wasn't played that way. He was played as a DT for Christ sake. His power was better than Smith's speed and his run stopping was also superior.

If Watt didn't deal with the injuries he had, he very well could be in this conversation as well.

Uhh...Bruce played in a 3-4 defensive scheme with the Bills until he went to the Redskins where he played in a 4-3.

This is just plain bad history... White played against the SB Champion 86 Giants, 87 Redskins, 90 Giants twice a year.  Those O-lines were elite, so I'm not sure what your smokin here...

That and if the defensive alignment White played in was so great for pass rushers, name another player that posted stats like White.  Perhaps you could explain why White's sacks per game AND tackles per game were both higher than Smith's? (complete player???)  Seems White was more productive across the board.  Maybe you think the SB champion factory NFC East of the mid 80's to early 90's had lesser talent than the laughable AFC Least during that period?

Bear in mind that the Bills usually played with a lead, forcing the opponent into obvious passing situations.  The Eagles were always behind or in a dog fight against running teams with big O-lines, yet White still produced huge numbers of sacks.  Look up the Eagles seasons, scores, etc. if you're still a skeptic.

The OLines were good but in that era there was a HUGE and I mean HUGE dropoff between Left and Right tackles in pass blocking ability.
