I think Allen has an uncanny ability to make people believe in him. Which sounds really schmaltzy on the face of it, but it's true. He showed up to Buffalo with most fans hating the pick and in a matter of 4 games the whole city was ready to die on a hill for him.

My point is that McDermott feels comfortable being aggressive because he genuinely believes that Allen will get the job done. Allen is as responsible for McDermott's growth as McDermott is for his.

That is because Allen might be the most clutch QB in the NFL.

  2. In what way? They average like 18 points a game. Not going to win very many games like that.

They are not the real deal. But if you looked up trap game in the dictionary it would show a preview of the Bills Broncos game.

On the road verse a bad team with sneaky talent. Right after two big prime time games, including directly after a SNF game vs the conference leading undefeated steelers. Right before two division games, including directly before a MNF game against the hated Patriots.

It definitely has the potential for a big let down

If you looked up trap game in the dictionary you wouldn't find it because despite people's insistence they exist, they actually don't.

Yeah, he didn’t have a strong leg to begin with. Maybe he lost a few yards from the injury, but he was getting older. The Hauschka hit is going to be the new Trent Edwards concussion. I saw someone mention the league trending towards kickers with stronger legs. I couldn’t agree more, and that trend wouldn’t leave much room for Haushka at any point in his career. He was really good for us, and an important factor in ending the drought. I do wish him the best.

What? You realize this is the career record holder in most consecutive FG made over 50 yards right? Dudes that don't have strong legs don't make 58 yard FGs in NFL games.

    His leg was perfectly fine.

Just saw the NE/Chargers score. Anyone want to recap what happened there? Just Bellichick befuddling a rookie QB?

Punt return for a TD early by Pats...they were up 21-0, Chargers trying for a long FG at end of half and it gets blocked and returned for a TD to make it 28-0 instead of 21-3 and appears it just kept going from worse to worst.

Wowzerz. Skipped the Hawks game thinking it was gonna be a blowout.

Giants kicked their ass all game. They deserved that win and probably by more than 5 points.

Good news indeed! We can -and likely will dump a few over-priced, under-achieving salaries, but we have serious new contracts which need to be worked plus any quality veterans we may need in FA. Spend wisely, Bills Brass.

This might have made the difference between keeping Milano or letting him walk...then again the Bills could have cut some others out and paid him. Now they likely don't need to do that.

Hope Beane can tie him up at a team friendly deal based on injury history.

It is often not the best team in the season that wins the SB but the one peaking at the right time.  Let's hope Buffalo can do so.

Exactly...Bills D seems to really be turning the corner and has been able to add more complexity back into their schemes and have everyone on the same page and knowing what to do. If this trend continues and they get a healthy John Brown back for the end of the year and into the playoffs, watch out.
