  1. ....but it's football season and I'm trying to kill the next 4 hours. I'll be sporting the Pos jersey (seeing how I'm still looking for an Edwards) over my Bills Backers t-shirt, Bills beads, Bills sun glasses, and my throwback hat.

About an hour away from leaving for the sports bar, but I already have my Lynch jersey on!

Beast Mode has officially been activated!!!!!

    Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. The biggest matchup will be our pass protection vs their outstanding front seven. They've got Kerney, Tapp, Julian Peterson, Hill and Tatupu... and they will be coming at Trent from all angles. Expect dinks and dunks and to look like we did last year. And expect this board to erupt.

Hey, the best way to neutralize a good pass rush is to run the ball and throw quick, short passes. This should be the game plan for this game, and I for one won't be upset if the Bills employ this strategy.

  3. I'll be happy with an injury-free win of any description.

    I'll second that!

Although I believe a blowout is unlikely, there are enough factors pointing in the Bills direction that should give them the edge in this one.

Here's to getting the season off to a good start!!!

  4. True. Parents in a snit with their "Unfair!" mentality, biting their nails. I'd speculate that when they were young, they were carted around in a vehicle sporting one of those "Baby on Board" signs.

George Carlin once said that people who have a "Baby on Board" sign in their cars should have another sign next to it:

    A**HOLE at the Wheel!!

  5. About a half an hour ago, it stopped raining for the first time in about 50 hours!

Almost 13 inches of rain in my area, and almost 30 inches on the coast--truly unbelievable.

Thousands of people flooded out of their homes, and it looks like its going to start raining here again in a couple of hours, but I hope the worst is over for me.

    What a slow moving storm.

  6. This freakin' storm just won't go away!!

Over 20 inches of rain along the east coast of central Florida.

About 40 miles inland, where I am, we just went over 7 inches of rain with the worst band of the storm directly overhead.

The winds are between 30-45 mph sustained in this particular band, but the rain is adding up and isn't going to stop in the next 24 hours. B-)

At least the power hasn't gone out!

  7. I know its early to make a prediction, but how should the Bills handle the kick return situation? Obviously, its a good problem to have, and there might not be a wrong answer, but I think the Bills should put both of them back deep on returns.

Given opposing teams tendency to kick away from McGee, this lineup would make that strategy a little more difficult to accomplish. Teams would, in effect, be forced to "pick their poison". This could work on punt returns with Parrish and McKelvin as well.

On the flip side, could it be time to take McGee off the return unit as a matter of injury prevention?

Now that we have some tangible proof of McKelvin's return ability, I thought I would bring this thread back to revisit the question of how the Bills should handle the kick return situation.

  8. I'm not sure if this is a joke, but if it isn't, was the show that you made supposed to fit into a half hour time slot, because ESPN only showed 20 minutes. It started at 1:40 or shortly after and was over before 2. That seems to be the problem most people have with it, including myself. I liked what was in the show, showing a lot of the players that stepped up because of injuries and did admirably, and the highlights, but in the show, it showed the jets game, and then it went straight to the cleveland game, passing over like half the season.

What we saw was great, but it was obvious that something was missing....as evidenced by the 20 minute run time.

They actually went from the first jets game to the redskins game over a commercial break. It goes from week four to week 13.... I'm sure this wasn't how it was intended to be shown.

  9. The week to week part of the show is probably what they cut out, god forbid we miss 10 minutes of an x games repeat  .

I assume the next time it airs, we'll get the full show.

That ticked me off as well....20 minutes

The sad thing is I truly believed that ESPN wouldn't cut it short...should have known better.

P.S.: My guide goes forward a full week and its not re-aired at all this week.

Geez, Cantankerous! dont be so.................cantankerous! ;)

  12. Background History:

My friend grew up in Western New York as a Bills fan. His whole family roots for the Bills. Around 1993, he switched to rooting for the Patriots. He says because of Drew Bledsoe. This guy once sat in awe at the same table with Jim Kelly and Andre Reed for a midget football banquet at the Castle Inn in Olean. Now at the age of 26 he wants back into the Bills family. I say no but I want to hear the opinion of fellow Bills fans. Should he be allowed back into Bills fandom or did he sell his soul to the devil?

My initial thought was no, but everyone makes stupid mistakes when they are 11.

He should be considered a Bills fan*
