I think Bishop will turn out to be the best pick of this class.

Due to the fact that McD always seems to get the most out of the players in the Secondary, Bishop has the potential to be the best Safety from this draft as well.

It will also be interesting to see how he matches up covering the top TE's in the league.....I'm sure this is one of the main roles McBeane envision Bishop filling.

    opinion

Based on 4 decades of living here.

Here is some recent local news stories from the last few months off the top of my head:

Stepfather rapes and murders 13 year old stepdaughter and dumps her in the woods

A woman from South Florida travelling to Central Florida apparently as a drug mule for her husband, was car jacked in broad daylight, then robbed, murdered, and her and her car were found burned in a construction lot

An 18 year old kid shot and killed a random woman, then came back to the scene a few hours later and killed a 9 year old girl and a news reporter who was covering the first murder, also seriously injuring his cameraman

I could go on and on.......there is some evidence for you

Every time I've been to Florida I've loved it, to be completely honest. But I was in the panhandle area 3 of those times (military TDYs) and Disney World once. Never during hurricane season.

From October 15 through May 15, we have the best weather you could ask to live in.

From May 15 through October 15, we have the worst weather you could ask to live in. Beware of the 3 H's: Heat, Humidity, and Hurricanes!!

Florida's such a crazy, weird, magical, moist place.

I've watched Florida go from a nice place to live to a hellscape of rejects from other states and other countries in the span of my lifetime....its gotten especially bad over the last 20 years. Add to that the fact that Global Warming has turned the state into a Hurricane magnet over the last 8 years, I don't know why anyone would want to move down here at this point.

We used to have a weather man down here when I was a kid who used to say on the air jokingly: "Welcome to Florida, now go back home!" I wish more people would have listened to him!😀

There's so much wrong with this

No one leaves sober... so hop in your car a drive home drunk and possibly kill someone that way.

Not to mention the fact that the establishment was back open today for regular business hours as if nothing happened the previous night.......crazy stuff.

versatility in the best thing you can have in your WR corps, if you don't have a JJ or Ja'Marr Chase, and the Bills are now extremely versatile and can offer options at every part of the field.

This offense will be flat the best in the Allen era

Let's not forget Kincaid....if he develops from year one to year two the way I would expect from him, he could be the centerpiece of the Offense sooner rather than later.

Just read that Bishop ran a 4.45 40 at the combine!

I personally really hope he is the pick at 60 in the 2nd round.

Hopefully, the Bills will get their "X" receiver in round 1(Thomas Jr., Mitchell), then zero in on a Safety in round 2.

My only question on Bishop was if he had NFL level speed....4.45 speed for a 200+ pound Safety answers that question for me!

    Get it done, McBeane!!

    Hey, I got one right!!

We don't know who they want but to get one of the top 3 it's gonna cost a lot. Like 3 1sts or 2 1sts and 2 2nds

When I trade up into the top 10 in mock drafts, it always takes this year's and next year's 1st and 2nd to get it done.....typically, you can do it with Buffalo's 2nd next year instead of Minnesota's 2nd next year, which would be obviously a more ideal scenario.

  9. Lions, Penei Sewell reportedly agree to 4-year, $112M deal that makes him highest-paid OT in NFL

The Detroit Lions have had a very busy day. They've reportedly come to terms on a four-year, $112 million contract with offensive tackle Penei Sewell, making him the new highest-paid player at that position.

This extension is reportedly the largest given to an offensive tackle in NFL history, with a staggering $85 million guaranteed. $85 million is approximately 75% of the contract's total value. He will be making approximately $28 million per year on average, the most of any other tackle in the NFL.

This news comes just a few hours after it was reported that the Lions have also agreed to a four-year, $120 million extension with standout wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Sewell, 23, just completed his third NFL season. Drafted by Detroit with the seventh pick in 2021, it took almost no time for him to become one of the best at his position. He's been to two Pro Bowls and was named first-team All-Pro for the first time in 2023. And he's so young that there's room for him to grow and get even better.

The Lions have made a stunning turnaround in only a handful of years. In 2021, Sewell's first year in the NFL, the Lions went 3-13-1 under first-year head coach Dan Campbell. Then in 2022 they went 9-8, missing the playoffs by just one game. In 2023 the 12-5 Lions made the playoffs via the wild-card, then beat two teams before falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the Conference Championship.

Sewell has been there for all of that, as has St. Brown. They've helped build a winning culture in Detroit, and now they get to stay and keep working to win the Lions that Super Bowl trophy they've always wanted.

  10. Went for it just to see what it would take.....a lot to give up, but if he becomes a stud WR1, no one will remember what the cost was to get him:

    Traded: 28, 60, 128, 2025 1st, 2025 2nd(BUF, not MIN)

    Received: 8, 109

    8. Rome Odunze WR Washington

    109. Leonard Taylor III DT Miami (FL)

    133. Jaylen Wright RB Tennessee

  11. I've been on the Cole Bishop bandwagon for a while now.....he strikes me as a real "McBeane-type" player.

When he ran a 4.45 40 at the combine, that solidified him as the perfect 2nd round pick for the Bills.

Getting Thomas and Bishop would be a real win in my eyes for the Bills.
