Would do it in a heartbeat. What did you have to give up to get the 48 and 89 picks? Do you still have the 1st next year? What other picks did you have this year?

IIRC, I had to give up this years 4th and 5th and next year's 3rd, but I held on to the next years first......I'd love to have 2 1st's next year.

My first mock of the day. Profootballnetwork has changed their layout again. Not a fan of the changes. But I was pretty pleased with the draft. Lots of trades back for extra picks. Used them on positions of need where our holes were mostly.

    41.

    Troy Franklin

    WR Oregon

    58.

    McKinnley Jackson

    DT Texas A&M

    60.

    Xavier Legette

    WR South Carolina

    100.

    Jaden Hicks

    S Washington State

    145.

    MarShawn Lloyd

    RB USC

    159.

    Zion Tupuola-Fetui

    EDGE Washington

    162.

    Tyler Davis

    DT Clemson

    184.

    Omar Speights

    LB LSU

    198.

    Sundiata Anderson

    EDGE Grambling State

    202.

    Andrew Raym

    OC Oklahoma

    206.

    Anim Dankwah

    OT Howard

    219.

    Mark Perry

    S TCU

    243.

    Nelson Ceaser

    EDGE Houston

    246.

    Storm Duck

    CB Louisville

I see you did the trading 28 to GB for 41 and 58 like I did on my last mock......if Thomas Jr is off the board, I wonder if Beane would be willing to make a move like this.....seems like there is a lot of value in the 2nd round this year.

  3. I believe the Bills will have to trade up in the 3rd to get an impact player:

    28. Brian Thomas Jr. WR LSU

    60. McKinnley Jackson DT Texas A&M

    78. Cole Bishop S Utah

Obviously, all these Mock Drafts are just for fun until after Free Agency........then we can really hone in on the positions the Bills will be targeting in the Draft.

That was my first thought after hearing about the Knox contract....”save some money for Davis and Oliver!!”

I’m pretty sure they will be the next two priorities for re-signing next offseason.

This is is likely the last season in a Bills uniform for Singletary and Edmunds. I’m holding out hope for a 1 year extension for Poyer, but I’m sure he’s looking for a longer term deal and will roll the dice on the FA market next offseason.

Found my post in this massive thread.....not too far off aside from Davis......thanks to Kincaid, Knox has become an expensive backup, but I think there is still a role for him as far as run blocking and red zone.

That's true but all those restructures do is kick the can down the road. If we want to move on from Diggs as early as next year all the restructuring we've done will end up being a dead cap hit at some point that we'll have to eat. Allen is fine he'll be here forever but what about guys like Knox (I hear he's making more than Travis Kelce), Dion Dawkins is getting older, pretty soon all these restructures are going to bite us in the ass. Just fill in the spots you need after the restructures with drafted talent and get out of the restructure hell!

They certainly need to get younger and cheaper on the Defensive side of the ball.....this is definitely not the offseason of many splashy free agent signings, but one difference-maker would be nice.....

We're 50M over the cap and already signing Derrick Henry, Terry Mclauren and Mike Evans.

I'm not for signing Henry, but after restructures of Josh Allen and others, plus contract extensions for Dawkins, Douglas, Taron and possibly Morse, the Bills will be 20-30 million under the cap.

    247: R7 P28 EDGE Jaylen Harrell - Michigan

    Come on SZ!

You are better at this than to pick McConkey at 28.....he’s just not a fit for what the Bills need at WR.....I wouldn’t pick him at 60!

  9. To bring in Dame Lillard, the Bucks had to trade Jrue Holliday, one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. As great as Dame is, Defense is not his forte.

Also, coach Adrien Griffen was fired because his defensive schemes were lacking, and Doc was brought in to shore up the Defense, however a 3-7 start isn’t a good sign that he will be able to turn the ship around.(Not to mention that IMO, Doc Rivers is the most overrated coach in the NBA. Only one title in Boston with Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Allen, and Playoff choke-jobs with the Clippers and 76’ers.)

  10.

    Anybody watching "Loudermilk" on Netflix??

It's about an abrasive, however good-at-heart leader of an AA group.....if you can get past an excessive use of the F-word, the show is really funny.......check it out if you haven't seen it.

It says it originally aired between 2017-2020, but it must have been on some obscure channel, because I don't remember hearing of it before it was put on Netflix.

The team is $50 million over the cap.  There’s no way a team in that position should give up picks for the right to take on a huge contract.  Beane should be fired on the spot if he even entertained the idea.

From what I read, after contract restructures from Allen and others, plus contract extensions for Dawkins, Douglas and Taron, the Bills will be 20-30 million under the cap....we shall see.

To play Devils Advocate, would you rather have Justin Jefferson or Diggs?  Jefferson has been remarkably cheaper and better.  That was the trade to get the “sure thing”.   There’s risk in everything, but to get another good, not great, WR you have to pay top of the market money to is not smart.  This is not Tyreek Hill, this is not a guy who you can say translates well, no matter what system he’s in, this is not a guy that’s been an unquestioned #1.  This guy is a huge risk too.

Like I said, drafting a WR is the smart move cap-wise.....let’s just hope they draft a Justin Jefferson and not a Kair Elam!!

  13. 24 minutes ago, DCofNC said:

I get the appeal, but again, you have to pay him AND Diggs big.  The Bills have to get a rookie deal to balance the cap. 40+M/yr on two WRs and a 40M QB doesn’t work.

I’m sure Beane could use his cap wizardry to structure an Aiyuk extension to have a lower cap hit until Diggs contract comes off the books.....it is entirely possible that Diggs may be here for only one more season.

I would think drafting a WR in the first round instead is the smart move cap-wise, but there is no guarantee that pick would pan out.(Remind me.....has late first round pick Kair Elam become a lockdown CB yet??) A guy like Aiyuk has already established himself as the real deal, IMO.

  14. NFL Wire has jumped on the Aiyuk to Buffalo bandwagon:

Brandon Aiyuk to the Buffalo Bills

    (Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports)

Buffalo Bills receive: WR Brandon Aiyuk

    San Francisco 49ers receive: 2024 first-round pick, 2025 fifth-round pick

The Bills should sprint to the phone and see what it would take to acquire the star receiver from the 49ers. Gabe Davis is a free agent, and if we’re being honest, one the Bills should not pay. His run blocking was his biggest asset, and he had seven games where he caught one or zero passes.

The Bills need a real weapon at receiver, and Aiyuk would step in and be the top guy in their offense. Stefon Diggs showed signs that he was losing a step down the stretch, as he went through his own slump. After having five 100 yard games in the first six weeks of the season, Diggs didn’t have another such performance for the rest of the year, and had six games with four or fewer catches and seven games of fewer than 50 yards receiving.

Acquiring Aiyuk to be the top target in the offense, while Diggs still gets respectable looks as the No. 2 guy would be great for the Bills. They’d still have work to do, but this would be a big feather in their cap.

I’m on episode #6 at the moment. It’s funny, sometimes I even think I know what’s going on!   😂

Side note: between the accents and the mix between voices and music it tricky to follow every word at times. It’s almost like I’m getting old or something…..

When I watch a British show, I tend to put the closed captioning on just to make sure I catch everything.....the thicker British accents can be tricky at times!

  16. I'm assuming the Bills cut Morse, and use his cap savings on the Defensive side of the ball:

    28. Adonai Mitchell WR Texas

    60. Sedrick Van Pran C Georgia

    99. Mason Smith DT LSU

    128. Javon Baker WR UCF
