  1. ROUND 3B--HB Blades, ILB Pitt. #4 rated ILB, #95 in the Draft Scout Top 750. A BLUE COLLAR and bring your hard hat to work guy.

I'm a big fan of Blades and would be happy getting him with one of our 3rd round picks.

He reminds me of Fletch and he has the "warrior mentality" that Fletch is known for.

He's definitely the kind of guy Marv wants on this football team.

  2. I was at that Tampa game baking in the sun myself----its hard to make a judgement of Cro's MLB play from that game.

The temp was 94 degrees with heat index over 105(I'm a 20+ year Floridian and I was absolutely baking!).

The defense was on the field way too much to have a chance to compete.

I'm happy with Cro's play at WLB and hope he gets to stay at that position, but I feel good about his ability to play the middle if that is the direction the Bills want to go.

  3. Two biggest lies

    1. they are happy moving Crowell to the middle. This defense demands Superman in the middle. They dearly hope that Willis gets past SF, but will take their chances with Crowell as the fall back plan.

    2. they are happy with a RBBC --they would much prefer to have a dominant back but will live with a committee of backs if they have to

You beat me to it...that's exactly what I think. <_<

  4. My guess is that they will be looking to get back in the 2nd round for Carr. Possibly Oak. I doubt Miami though. Carr is a good athlete though, just had a shiti supporting cast.

I don't think anyone will trade for Carr and pick up his large contract unless they really like him.

He needs to go to a team with more pieces around him to be successful.

One place that might work out well for him would be KC if the Chiefs are no longer interested in Trent Green

  5. I don't want Hall neither, all I said was maybe he becomes more of a reality for us. The best available athlete is probably going to be who we choose if we don't trade back. I just think that the players that were mentioned will be gone by the time we pick and that CB is a concern. If that is the case and it's not Hall then maybe it will be Houston. If RB, LB, DT and CB are going to be our concerns, then I'm expecting Peterson, Willis and Akoye to be gone by the time we pick. This would leave Lynch, Hall and Houston as viable choices. The only other position that could be tempting would be WR. If that were true then Ginn would be the choice. I do think that there is enough quality WRs on the board for us to take in a later round though. I also feel that this A-Train may allow us to consider a compliment RB with one of our 3rd rd. picks. A fast CB is starting to make sense to me but what do I know. Thoughts?

In that scenario, he probably would become more of a reality for us....but I think would be an unfortunate reality.

If both Okoye and Willis are gone by pick 12, and none of the other top talents slide down the board, I will be very disappointed.

  6. I don't think Jauron was here as a player. He never played in any regular season games, I know that. He was only on Detroit and Cincinnati.

I don't think he was a coordinator in Buffalo either. He was a defensive coach in Buffalo, however.

I think I read somewhere that Levy wanted to hire DJ as defensive coordinator when he was head coach, but DJ took that position in Jacksonville instead.

  7. I believe when Spikes went down with the achilles, there was talk of how Crowell had to "transition" on the fly from middle to weakside linebacker. He definitely got better each week at weakside backer during that season.

Why can't he transition back when he has an entire off season, training camp, and preseason to prepare?

Of course this discussion could be a moot point if they draft Willis in RD 1.

  8. my 5 - I think people are worrying a little to much about the CB position...Youboty was a top 5 CB in last years draft...some people either forgot this or arent careing much about that...i think to many people are worrying about his slow start and lack of production last season...I think Youboty will be fine as a replacement to Clements..Youboty will have 1 full season with this coaching staff and 1 full season with these bills players and 1 full year to read and understand the bills defensive playbook..how can that not be better than a top 5 rookie in this years draft with no nfl experience and no time with the bills coaches and players at all.

I'm glad to see I am not the only one who feels this way.

  9. I am an advocate for offering Chris Brown a 2 yr deal. Him and A-train running with our new tenacious O-line would be sufficent for a playoff run. Chris Brown (when healthy) is an elusive, productive RB averaging like 4.6 yds per carry. A-train was impressive last season in his 3 starts. If we sign Chris, we can pursue a monstrous hole in CB w/ leon hall in the draft. Anyone heard anything on chris's status????????????

I really don't think Brown is worth our FA $$$....he is an injury waiting to happen.

The Titans lost Travis and have salary cap room and I don't think they have shown any interest whatsoever.

If we are going to gamble on a running back, let it be a second round draft pick whose rookie contract will be much less than what Brown is asking.

  10. My friend just told me that Dallas will look at offers to trade Julius Jones. I think that kid's a really good talent. Do you think he'd be a good fit for the Bills, and how much would you give up for him? He was originally drafted in the 3rd, I believe.

He was drafted in the second round with Buffalo's pick from the JP trade.

I would give up no more than a third round pick at the most(draft day deal)....only if a better option isn't available in round two of the draft

  11. AGAIN, we are NOT taking Okoye. He plays the SAME position as Tripplett and McCargo. It would essentially be a wasted pick unless we have no plans for Triplett. Patrick Willis is the best option on defense.

I think Tripplett is better suited as a "wave" player like he was in Indy.

Not to mention that Okoye is only 19 and weighs in at 302 lbs. You don't think the talent and potential gap between Tripplett and Okoye is great enough to make this pick?

Also, a dominating D-line will always help to minimize the deficiencies of the back 7.

  12. lol...This has to be one of the dumbest things I've read in a while...I wonder what this guy was smoking when he was writing this? Anybody agree to what he is suggesting?

When I read the "article" the first thing that came to my mind was how badly it would be trashed on this board!!
