Yes, tonight is the start of realizing I can and should do something else entirely with my Sundays this NFL season. It takes a good sense of humor and a penchant for self-flagellation to root for this team. I won't be able to resist watching and I will curse myself for doing so, but I will. God help us.

we're playing a very tough NFC division this year and our own division is very tough. Did we win any divisional games last year? We padded our wins with some very weak NFC west opponents, this year that isn't going to happen. Even with T.O. I doubt we will even muster the typical Jauron era 7-9. Our highly suspect in-game coaching and conservative playcalling will cost us a couple games again, the NFC division and our own will give us fits, I predict 5-11 maybe 6-10. I truly hope I am wrong but I feel like a sucker every year thinking it's going to be different. Not with this coach.

The decision making from Trent is horrible - we would have been better off with him throwing the ball out of bounds than that last checkdown for a loss.

Playoffs, early exit.

This is the most important thread I've ever seen on TSW. Edwards has shown the potential to be brilliant. I would like to see the organization acknowledge what's going on by ordering further tests and evaluations of Trent. For his own well-being and for his future career he may need sit until there are answers. I would say we are a rather mediocre football team. A few talented skill players with mostly weak line play, very good Special teams, inconsistent quarterbacking, and yes a gutless head coach. A better coach would certainly help but there are personnel issues that are pretty glaring, namely QB.

No we will get all worked up again and start believing only to have our collective hearts torn from our chests but in some new. even more brutal fashion.

I would agree if there was some growth, but what we have is treading water trying not to drown for the umpteenth season in a row. But hey, we have a great punter and a good return game!!
