My sentiments exactly. While it's the last thing I want to see, if Trent is stinking it up it may be time to sit him for a spell. Let's pray it never happens, but if it needs to, I also pray that the coaching staff grows a pair and does what needs to be done.

TheDean, I am not a JP fanboy, as you said. The fact that I think something is wrong with Edwards has nothing to do with JP. JP is not the answer long-term in Buffalo, he will be gone soon. He pretty much sucks although he throws a wicked long ball. Edwards may be the answer long-term but has crashed hard the past few weeks and looks nothing like the QB we had the first few weeks. I actually think it has something to do with the concussion he suffered and merely suggested he be put on a short leash for the time being. As much as it hurts, that may involve bringing JP in until they better assess Trent's health. If we see more of the same from Trent I would hope the coaches won't be afraid to sit him as a preventative measure.

I actually agree with the idea of starting Losman right now, or at least keeping Trent on a short leash. Despite what he has said, I don't think he is okay following the concussion. He is slow making reads, hanging out too long in collapsing pockets and losing track of defenders. He has no help of course, but he has looked so much better pre-concussion vs. post concussion. The organization can avoid a QB controversy if they make JP only a temporary measure while they do further testing on Trent's noggin. Something isn't right there and it's killing us.

At this point in the season if I had to pick between winning the last two games and losing to NE or the reverse, I would be happy to take the reverse. Psychologically we have to overcome the *Pats and this week would be very sweet to do it. I would even say that I would rather take both games this year from the *Pats at the expense of missing the playoffs. My reason being is I doubt we'd go very far either way this year, but the confidence gained from overcoming the *Pats could set us up well for a strong run next year.

I worry that Jauron may go into the Jets game with a very conservative game plan. Of course we need to establish the run, but I don't want to see us relying on it exclusively like we saw in some of the series last week. 3 and outs of all run plays are what I am talking about. If we have a small lead, we need to stay aggressive, not go into protect-the-lead mode. Favre has the ability to put up fast points and our secondary is not healthy right now. The Jets game is a perfect opportunity to throw some wrinkles in the offense, mix it up on special teams and do some blitzing on defense. I hope the game plan and the attitude of the team are to go out there and take it from them, not wrestle it away slowly...
