Yes trump has placed 25% tariff on steel and aluminum from Canada on top if the 25% he already promised and postponed for 30 days. That was confirmed by the Whitehouse spokesman last night. So steel and aluminum costs increase by 50%...that is good for all and solves all the problem. So, US producers of cars that use Canadian steel and aluminum get 50% increase, parts for auto from the rest of the world and Canada (including production by GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda etc) go up by 25%, cars produced from Japan, Korea, Europe, Canada, Mexico go up by 25%. That helps everyone.

If all that is true, why not just stop buying the steel and aluminum. Why punish your own industry who uses steel and your people who buy the product, and the other countries who buy the product made. Oh yes, to put money in the government pockets, the very government who your supports want to reduce and get rid of. Is there one thing in trumps life he does that is not about money or retribution.

Doc, as much as I respect your positions and reasonable thought, I think everyone must open our eyes, see past our rose glasses and see that what is happening is a revolution, hidden the smoke screens, motivated by the old Manifest Destiny controlled by the super rich, and validating that Jan 6 was indeed a coup attempt. I get the incredible change in political direction, the lefties went too far, immigration went too far, spending went to far, but it is easy now to see, the status quo of a stable, elected, balanced government with strong institutions is over.
