A team may be moving to L.A.
Flbillsfan#1 replied to Huuuge Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sure there were a number of devoted Ram fans in LA, but with the size LA is there should be a HUGE number of fans. NY/NJ has no problem supporting TWO teams. As I said, the Raiders left after winning a Super Bowl, Al Davis was very disillusioned with the LA market. -
WDAE (620 AM Tampa) streams LIVE on the internet. Ron & Ian (9AM - 12PM) are both funny & talk about a wide variety of things besides sports. Steve Duemig (3PM-7PM) is very knowledgeable on all sports & has Chris Landry on his show every Thursday during the off season for 15-20 minutes, he is on Friday during football season. WDAE also has a great website.

Falcons sign #3 pick for more than #1
Flbillsfan#1 replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we are about to see a MAJOR CHANGE in the Rookie $$ pool. My understanding is by cutting short the agreement with the players union, the new contract will call for a MUCH lower limit of $$ to be paid to Rookies. -
A team may be moving to L.A.

While I'm sure she was HAPPY with the deal St. Louis gave her, I think her main motivation for moving the Rams there, was the fact she was a St. Louis native. She did not have to pull a "Major League" to make the move, LA is a NOTORIOUSLY BAD NFL city. Al Davis moved the Raiders AFTER winning the Super Bowl in LA. -
It is being talked about on talk radio all the time still. MANY in the media at first poo pooed the notion that Belicheat* & the Pats* got a big advantage from the tapes, NOW they are ALL saying it was a HUGE advantage & the Pats* Super Bowls are tainted. Ian Beckles (former OT for the Bucs & Eagles) called for Belichick* to be suspended on his show on WDAE this AM.

Boston Globe Article on Patriots
Flbillsfan#1 replied to Tolstoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In the past the Pats* were able to attract free agents for less money than they would have got from another team, in order to play for the great Belicheat*, & with the great Brady*. I wonder how this will affect their future signings. -
According to HBO's Real Sports...

Yeah I saw it on HBO also. -
Bored? Look at this crap...

The person that wrote the 1st article is a real tool. The last paragraph he says California has 2 football teams- the Raiders & 49'ers. I guess the Chargers must have moved out of Cali & no one told us. -
[closed]Signals didn't help Bledsoe
Flbillsfan#1 replied to Willis990's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I seem to remember Bledsoe replacing an injured Brady* in a PLAYOFF game before the 1st Super Bowl they won*, I think it was the AFC Championship, Bledsoe pulled out the win* for the Pats* so yeah the CHEATING also helped Drew*. -
Chris Landry was on WDAE (620 AM Tampa) tonight with Steve Dumeg as he is every Thursday to discuss the NFL. Steve asked him his thoughts on spygate & Chris replied he didn't think it was going away. He thinks Specter is going to push for an independent hearing. Chris went on to say," you know I have worked for Bill Belichick* as an advance scout- I don't think I will in the future." He said Bill was the type of person to CROSS the line. He said he was instructed to go through opposing teams garbage to see if he could come up with anything useful while scouting. He said Belicheat* KNEW the rules of the NFL very well, NOBODY knew them better & was LYING when he said he misinterpreted them. Chris also said he had worked in the upstairs box at games & while it wouldn't be possible to do extensive work on the coaching signal videos during the game, they would provide a HUGE ADVANTAGE with what you could get from them during the course of the game. He went on to say he thought the Pats* used them during the games they were filmed, and cited the Steelers game.

Jim Rome to Pats* Fans: YOUR TEAM CHEATED!
Flbillsfan#1 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree with you on this. Even if Kraft didn't know about the CHEATING done by Belicheat*, after learning of it he should have fired him. The failure to do so, in effect is condoning the CHEATING, therefore the ONLY way to start with a clean slate is with new ownership. -
I for one am PROUD of the fact the BILLS went to 4 Super Bowls in a row.(even though they lost all 4) I KNOW they did it the RIGHT way- with CHARACTER- something the Pats* & their fans know NOTHING ABOUT. The Super Bowls the Cheaters* won mean NOTHING NOW- EVERYONE knows the Pats* are a FRAUD. The Pats* & their fans can no longer flaunt their success WE ALL KNOW YOU CHEATED. It will be fun next season seeing the fans signs at Pats* away games & watching Brady hit the Turf.
-
You got that RIGHT. Seau SUCKED while playing for the Fins, he joins the Pats* & plays like he is 25 years old again.
-
There will be a * as far as every NFL fan except CHEATERIOTS* is concerned. The Pats* & their record is FOREVER TAINTED, much like Barry Bonds & Roger Clemons. Matt Walsh did provide some new info as well. We now know Belicheat* was LYING when he said he just "misinterpreted" the rules.
-
Inside the NFL on ESPN is FINALLY saying the Pats* gained a huge advantage by cheating. They also are not buying that the tapes weren't used during the games they were taped. A good example is the Pittsburg game - when did they expect to see them again- It was the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, they weren't going to play them in the Super Bowl.

The Bills do NOT spend more picks on the secondary
Flbillsfan#1 replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bucs had a real NEED at CB this year. Kelly is gone & Barber only has a couple more years in him. Talib could be as good or even better than McKelvin. -
Watching the Bills-Bengals replay on NFL Network
Flbillsfan#1 replied to udonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah why did we not see that play again the rest of the year? A good coach knows if something works, stay with it, until the other team stops it. -
USA TODAY power rankings out....
Flbillsfan#1 replied to Tonawanda Troy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills could win 10 or 11 games in 08. They could also win as few as 6 or 7. The Bucs won the NFC South last year. If they don't win it in 08, the Panthers will. The Browns beat the Bills last year & I think are a better team than the Bills. The rest of the teams mentioned should also be good in 08.
