When Ralph Wilson, Lamar Hunt, and the rest of the original owners of teams in the old AFL started that league, the KNEW they were going to lose money to begin with. They called themselves the foolish club, as in you had to be foolish & crazy to invest in such a scheme. They started the AFL for their PLEASURE not to make money. There were a number of original owners that didn't have pockets deep enough, or the stomach to continue to lose money, and they got out, taking a financial bath in the process. NOBODY in todays NFL will purchase a team expecting to lose money...I don't think it is even possible to do so, but I think anyone buying a team will do so because they want to be a part of the NFL, not to make money (not that they don't expect to) The ONLY chance Buffalo has to keep the Bills is if one or more people with DEEP POCKETS LOVES the Buffalo area enough to buy the team keeping it in Buffalo, knowing they could make much more money if they move the team.

Yeah it was. The title of the thread is wrong, go read the 1st post. On second thought, after rereading it myself maybe you are right , it was about fights at the Ralph. Which is it Kenmore?

There are MANY Canadian FISH Fans in Toronto. I know this from the Fin Haven website. Probably because many go to Fla on vacation.

The people in Toronto that put this together with Ralph don't really want the people from Buffalo there. They want to show the league they can fill the stadium with well heeled, $$$ spending people from Toronto.

late round draft value

I think where Hardy will make a BIG difference is in the red zone, he will be able to out jump DB's for the TD's -

I for one am not worried about Peters getting hurt........ Now Trent Edwards that's another story. -

There were NO WR's taken in round #1 but the Bills got a good one in round 2. CB was a more pressing need than OL, I think if Harvey was there the Bills would have taken him. -
PROOF THE $&%@# PATS* CHEAT!!!
Flbillsfan#1 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Steve Dumeg was talking to Chris Landry on WDAE Tampa about the Pats.* They both agreed that when the Boston Herald ran the article about the Rams walk through before the Super Bowl, everyone just ASSUMED it was Walsh that had it. Now it is reported he doesn't, they both feel another person must have. They both feel that the Boston Harold had to have had evidence before they ran that story, & will have to further explain where they got the story from to maintain the credibility of the newspaper. Just because Walsh does not have that Video, does not mean it does not exist. -

Yeah there was no advantage, they just did it for 7 YEARS for the HELL of it. -

Why would you want to see it end? I want in thrown in their face until the last coach & player from that team is out of the league. Even then, any time Superbowls are mentioned, I want it mentioned the Pats* cheated in every Superbowl they won. -
Her head got in the way while he was trying to pick up his $$$$

With that kind of convoluted logic, Pac Man should not have been suspended. All he did was commit a few misdemeanors & throw some money in the air.

If we make a playoff run...

I would disagree about the O-line, except for last year, they SUCKED equally. The rest of the team RJ was on was vastly superior to any JP has been on thus far.To compare Rob & JP you left out one VERY IMPORTANT equation, the coaching staff. RJ had much better coaching, yes I'm including Joe Pendry, than JP ever had on the Bills. It is impossible to say how JP would have fared on that team, but we do know ROB was OUTPLAYED by the MAGIC MAN Doug Flutie. -

Thanks for the compliment. It is nice to debate another with differing opinions, that feels no need to bash, & insult because we have different opinions on one subject. I think the vast majority on this board would agree on most things Bills related except for the QB's & coaching staff, there is no need for all the rancor & insults. I think & hope for his sake, because I do like him, that JP if put in the right situation, with a good team around him, & a coaching staff that plays to his strengths will become a good QB, at the very least a TOP NOTCH back up. I think he is capable of being much more than a .500 QB in the right situation. -

After asking me if I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night, or played a doctor on TV, you gave the impression of being an expert, go reread your post. It is a fact some players are more predisposed to injury than others, go ask a doctor. There is a reason Trent was available in the 3rd round, it was his history of INJURIES. The Bills front office felt the potential reward was worth the risk at that point in the draft, that is why he was drafted by the Bills. As far as the game tapes go, I don't know you, you could be a BIG BS artist, or a stand up truthful guy, in which case I am very jealous. I addressed the YOU KNOW WHO question in a previous post. I said I would not want ANY player at any position to receive a long term big money deal if their health was in question, that includes JP. As I said in a previous post is I would like to see Trent develop more on the field & show the ability to stay healthy before the Bills reward him with a BIG contract. Is that being unreasonable? -

Yeah sounds familiar, you chose a loser in the RJ/ Flutie debate ............ now you choose Trent over JP........... You draw your conclusions from that, & I will draw mine. -
His posse was involved in the DEATH of a person from my understanding. Why don't you enlighten us all & fill us in on the details- LINK?

I remember many on this board that wanted Rob. Myself, I was a Flutie fan. -

Who are you to judge if Trent's body type is more suited to the added muscle weight than Rob's? I would like to know, seeing you are a doctor what area you specialize in, or did I misunderstand you, & you are not a doctor at all. I would not want to give ANY player at any position a long term contract for major $$$ that is known to be injury prone, & yes some players are more predisposed to injury than others & I would include Trent in that group. I would also like to know where you got Trent's college game tapes I would be interested in seeing them myself. -
Pac Man is an IDIOT but you can't deny his talent.

OJ & Carruth should top the list just ahead of Lewis

Favre is one tough SOB, & has had many minor injuries but he was able to stay on the field & keep playing. That is the point I was making. -

I can ask the same of you, I didn't know you were a doctor either. If you say the 10 pounds Trent put on will keep him from being injured, I guess you are all knowing. I'm not disputing Trent's toughness, I'm just saying let's see him stay on the field for an ENTIRE season before giving him a big contract. -

It is a matter of genetics. Brett Favre played how many games without being injured? I remember Rob Johnson standing in there taking a pounding as well, but guess what he got INJURED from the pounding, & I wouldn't want him on my team.
