I agree it's the wind that plays havoc with the ball. Back in the day Kelly had much more success at Rich than opposing QB's on windy days because he understood the winds there & had the arm strength to deliver the ball in a tight spiral on a rope rather than loop the ball with a high arch. This will be Trent's 2nd year to play in Buffalo, I hope he has learned something about the winds there & plays better than last year in poor conditions. He will have 1 game with guaranteed good conditions in Dec - TORONTO, who knows what the weather will be like the rest of the games?

When you say 20 + yard pass are you talking about the ball being in the air for at least 20 yards or plays that gain 20 + yards, such as the ball was thrown 10 yards & the receiver ran for 12 yards after the catch? In any event, arm strength comes into play in the Ralph when the WINDS are blowing. I am not worried about Trent being able to throw the ball 20 or 30 yards in nice weather. What concerns me is his ability to throw the ball in BAD weather. Thus far he hasn't shown he can deliver when conditions are poor.

I agree with you, & if the Browns or another team want to trade for him, they must like him as well. I am just happy the posters on this board that would give away half the team for 6th or 7th round draft choices have no say in the matter.

You can call it lucky, I would like to think it was GOOD evaluation by the Front office.

Canada is NOT the United States. They have a very strong national identity, and realize if they don't pass laws protecting their culture the US will over run it. For this reason they have laws that state a certain percentage of music must be Canadian on their radio stations (I think 60%) & a certain percent of programing must originate from Canada on their TV Stations. I would not be surprised at all to see such a law pass in Canada.

Just maybe if he had an offensive coordinator that could come up with a game plan that played to his strengths, and a legit #2 receiver he would have done better last year. I really feel however unless Trent gets injured JP should sit on the bench this year because he will not be a Bill in 09 anyway.

I don't think being a star athlete has anything to do with it. People with LOTS of MONEY do get preferential treatment under the law that is just a fact of life.

I wanted JP to be given a fair shot. It is obvious now that JP will be gone at the end of the season, so I want Trent to start & play well. I wish I had your confidence in Edwards, but after watching him last year, play poorly in the 4th quarter in many games, & play poorly in bad weather, I don't see what you see in him. I do hope you are right about him. I think if HEALTHY Simms is definitely worth a third, but I don't know that he is or will ever be healthy again, anymore than you or I know what kind of QB Trent will become.

I agree, there is not a lot of love for Gruden in Tampa at this point in time.

Linn has stations in 10 or 11 markets. Until recently they did not have an agreement with Direct TV to broadcast their stations in HD.

The Bills will be featured on NFL total access Thursday 6-12 first showing 7PM.

The corp that owns CBS in Buffalo, I believe they are called Linn TV & DTV have FINALLY reached agreement for DTV to rebroadcast their channel in HD.

He could be had from anywhere from a 4th to a 7th. The Bucs are not going to keep him. They will keep Garcia #1 Shula #2 & Luke McKown who is developing nicely #3. Plus they drafted that kid from Cal, I think his name is Johnson. Simms mechanics were bad last year & may still be. I don't know if he will ever recover from that injury. Whoever signs him will have the medical staff evaluate him & then work him out, before signing him.

ALL the games will be broadcast in HD this year & forever more which PIZZES me off all the more that DTV charges EXTRA for the ticket in HD.

I don't think JP is a 2nd rate QB. I know you do, so do you REALLY want to replace him with another 2nd rate QB? Competition is a GREAT thing to have at EVERY position.

With JP gone next year, it looks to me like Trent supporters are afraid of ANY competition @ QB.

You know it. It only takes a couple plays to change the outcome of an NFL game. A holding call when a team scores a TD can make all the difference. We all know holding can be called on just about ANY play, so it is very easy for a ref to influence a game this way.

You could be right...... now there is a team that really could use a QB.

I don't understand some of the people on this board. I started this thread because I thought Bills fans that read this board would be happy to know media from another city thought highly of a Bills draft pick. the bug was the only poster with a positive post about a Bills draft pick this thread was about. Unbelievable, what a bunch of negative Rat Bastards
