$800/week is a LOT more than most of these guys would make out of football. Plus I'm pretty sure they get free room & board in camp.

I understand what you are saying, & I agree with you that it will cause a controversy if JP plays well during the season. I don't think it should start controversy during preseason, if healthy Trent should start when the regular season begins period.

I think the biggest question with him is can he stay healthy?

I KNOW it's only preseason, but while looking at the sports page in the paper, I noticed the AFC East standings. 1st place : BUFFALO 1-1 followed by & tied with Jets & Fins, in 4th place Pats*0-2, that looked sweet, now if we can carry it over to the regular season.

Great points, the Tampa 2 is a bend but don't break type of defense, & will give up many yards without giving up many points (hopefully).

I just heard Favre praised for having the patience to hang on to the ball, I think a big difference is the line in front of Losman does not allow for that luxury & JP for some stupid reason hasn't figured that out.

It wasn't his best game, but he didn't give the game away by throwing 2 ints within a matter of minutes at the end of the game as Edwards did.

Show me a CB who hasn't been torched & I'll show you a CB who has not had any playing time.

He's not all that good, S.F. moved him from Left tackle to Right tackle.

Hell yeah & I'd take him over Juaron as well. I would require him to keep April however.

I was criticized for starting a thread after the draft that related the writers of Pewter Report (The Bucs Mag) wanted the Bucs to draft Ellis. I enjoy reading that mag & respect their opinion, so I was happy the Bills drafted him.

Comparing apples to oranges, the Jets, Redskins, Giants & Pats have been around a LONG time. A preseason game in those cities doesn't mean much. Toronto however hasn't had an NFL game in that city in YEARS, so preseason or no it is more of an event than those other cities. Aside from that Rodgers wanted to show the NFL how well Toronto would support the NFL, and led us all to believe the game would be sold out.

That only affects fans who don't have a ticket to the game.

Yes my demands of Trent are if the Bills are playing in a blizzard or monsoon, then Trent or whoever is QB better MAN UP. In the "BLIZZARD" in Cleveland, Anderson clearly outplayed Trent. Anderson threw many nice passes, & not just for 5-10 yards. I don't think Trent threw 1 decent pass that entire game. After the game, the coach of the Browns also said the weather was not as bad as it looked, he said it really was not all that cold. Eli in the Giants game,was what everyone wants Trent to be. While not looking spectacular, he managed the game & did not make costly mistakes which caused his team to lose as Trent did. If JP was the QB for those 2 games instead of Edwards & played the same as Edwards did (POORLY) you HATERS would have said JP SUCKS...........there would be no mention of the weather. Because Edwards played, it wasn't Trent's fault at all, it was all due to the weather. SHOW ME WHERE I SAID JP WAS A HOF QB. I don't know how good (or bad) JP will be yet, & neither do any of you HATERS.

DON"T QUOTE ME STATISTICS but Trent was outplayed by both QB's in the last 2 games (Trent lost therefore he was outplayed) playing in the same weather Trent was. I HOPE he loses the gloves & learns to play well in sever weather conditions.

I don't understand how you could evaluate JP or any QB for that matter that played in the circumstances JP has played in, from numerous coaching changes with different offenses, to just playing on CRAPPY teams with very poor O-lines. When I see JP on a good team then I will judge him. Trent had a VERY GOOD game in the DOME. Lets hope he can play as well outside with WEATHER.

I wonder how that will work if they are unable to cheat. Oh well, I'm sure they have already figured out a way to tap into the opposing teams radio signals.
