  1. That jokes so old, the first time I heard it I fell off my dinosaur.
  2. Ok, then I will.
  3. Wait, Gangsta Kitty aint done yet.
  4. Gangsta kitty has just booked a flight to Boynton Beach.
  5. His agent works for him and Matter 2003 said his agent is even dumbfounded by his strategy. From the article I linked above; Let's say he is dealt in March via a sign-and-trade. He is still going to have to come under the new team's 2010 rookie cap, and in this instance he's going to be getting signed well before the rookie cap numbers are even released. Even if 2010 is an uncapped year, the rookie pool is still in play, the 25 percent rule still applies, so you aren't going to be able to go crazy and frontload a deal. Yes, in the uncapped scenario you can guarantee the fifth and sixth years on the back end, but the idea of a windfall of money up front is a mirage. If this was going on with a Bills rookie the "Ralph is cheap" crowd would be going nuts.
  6. I agree with all of the people here who believe it's a slim chance of him making it to next years draft but I don't believe another team will give into his contract demands and spend a high draft pick for him. Stranger things have happened and he's already shown himself to be pretty stupid on the contract negotiations. Here's a great article that explains all of his options. Well, alright, let's say the 49ers can't work out a deal that makes sense for them and he re-enters the draft. Crabtree cannot even being to talk to another team until the day of the draft, as per the CBA. So no combine, no pro day, no big workouts for NFL brass. No phone interviews with execs. Nothing. The 49ers control his rights until the 2010 draft. So, after missing the combine in 2009 due to injury, teams still wouldn't have recent measurables on him or know his 40 time. There would be no recent film on him.
  7. I know Lori did. From that article; (This is sarcastic) Nobody in the NFL hands off play after play with such skill; such panache; such glory -- and those analysts who are crediting Brett Favre as such after the game are exactly on point. We are luckier for having seen him again, and I know the Vikings feel the same way. Even the Browns, as disappointed as they must have been to drop their first game, have to know what a special privilege it is to lose a game this way.
  8. Do you have a link for that? The amount of money he is asking for and the amount being offered is, IMO, very slight in NFL contract terms. He's giving up a full year of pay to get just a little more and hit FA a year later. I hope to God, for his sake, that this is just a bargaining tool. What team is going to risk taking him in the top 10 of next years draft after he pulls a stunt like this? The teams aren't going to be turned off by his money demands nearly as much as his prima donna attitude. JMO The reasons for him not to do this go beyond the money he'd miss for this year. For one he'll be coming back after a full year of not playing football and there are more potential problems for him; God forbid any of these things happen to him: he could have an injury that stops his career cold because he tore a muscle while working out, he could be in a car accident or in some freak accident in the house that causes him a career or time on the field next year which drops him even lower in the draft.
  9. I was thinking that while I was writing it. I guess every sports writer or TV pundit would take offense to that.
  10. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I've heard it used in the context of an entire profession before; I.E. every politician is on the take. Every mechanic is dishonest. Every construction worker is lazy and I'm sure there's more that isn't coming to mind right now.
  11. It's not an absolute statement. As I mentioned above it's being used in the same way as; "Every time I use this copier..." Every time I start to clean the garage.." "Every time I plan a picnic it rains."
  12. Great article! That's my point. Did you read my explanation of "every" above. From Lori's link; Brett Favre competed 14 passes on 21 attempts and was sacked four times. Only four of those passes went six or more yards in the air, which allowed the Vikings (Featuring Brett Favre) to run Peterson more and more often.
  13. How many times do the nurses have to tell you?! There aren't any other padded cells at your nuthouse.
  14. I've heard that a lot of these thieves don't steal stuff like that unless they already have a buyer lined up.
  15. I guess you've never heard the word "every" used in a different context other than it's literal meaning. I.E. Every friggin day it's the same thing, Every time I go to do something etc. etc.
  16. I won a long time ago they just haven't announced it yet.
  17. Ok, crowing may have been to strong a word. I guess it just p's me off if they give him much credit, if any, for the win.
  18. I'm gonna vomit. Thank you for that. Thank you very little.
  19. Clinton Portis. He rips off a 34 yard run on the first play and then 28 yards for the rest of the game.
  20. What he said. The 80 million in cap space would have been better used on more players. JMO
  21. You missed the part of my post where I said without AP they probably would have lost.
  22. You don't need to tell me. I started him on my fantasy team. However, it could've been worse. (Thank God he didn't land on my team in the draft.)
  23. Favre's numbers; 14/21 110 yards 1 TD. Without AP the Vikings probably would have lost.
