  1. Agreed. And no - I'm not blaming Nix for anything - I was just bummed the moment Carolina grabbed him, and as good as Gilmore has been, I am still bummed Keuch didn't fall one more spot for us. Gilmore is an upgrade at CB, but we have some depth there (I thought Brooks was the steal of the draft.) and we needed the MLB more.
  2. This is a good question in general but they are not switching BACK to anything. This is not the Tampa-2 Jauron was running.
  3. I noticed these two points while I was watchnig the game - and saw some of the same with the Redskins. Both teams threw a lot of screens and quick outs - they were anticipating trouble up front and protecting their young star QBs. The Steelers game will be very interesting - as Fitz mentioned last night, they will gameplan a bit for the Steelers.
  4. That may well be what they were actually laughing about. When it happened, Shanahan actually looked almost as annoyed about the call as Gailey was.
  5. I'm almost sure he WON'T make the team. Did they not have 3 TE's last year? Sanders could wind up on the P/S. We are hurting at Safety with only 3 - as Nix already pointed out at the start of camp.
  6. In a heartbeat. Fitz wouldn't be one of the guys - he'd end up being our backup - no way would another team want him that much. I would assume we'd lose Mario, FredEx, and Dareus. Could be Stevie instead of Freddy? But yes, there are no three players we wouldn't want to trade for Luck in my opinion.
  7. Wait... McCargo was a bust??? I drafted him on my IDP fantasy team!!!
  8. And had a good attitude - not that I am surprised given ths is edited and (I assume) team-approved stuff, but I left this video more enthusiastic about Graham for sure - he gave the impression of a kid who "gets it" and therefore, hopefully, might improve and succeed long-term.
  9. And then see if we can trade him to the Ravens again for another 4th?
  10. He was amazing last year in his two preseason games. Then he got "nicked"...
  11. It's in the air, actually. It drifts up Northeast in a cloud from Danny Snyder's offices in Washington.
  12. Agreed - people need to stop penciling in the Ravens - they aren't going to make the playoffs this year.
  13. I am actually very worried about the Chiefs game. I am certain they will be out for revenge and they are way more talented than they showed last year when the took the Bills for granted.
  14. According to Mario Williams - they weren't just vanilla - they were in run defense the whole time, and specifically emphasizing contain and lane discipline because they were expecting RG3 to be rolling out and bootlegging a bunch. When it didn't happen, they were often just holding up and not really penetrating too much. Standard preseason behavior for all teams. I do believe the Redskins "gameplanned" a little for the purpose of protecting their new wonderchild.
  15. No, I saw Gilmore beaten by Garcon early. Not the end of the world in preseason week one for a rookie, but it did happen.
  16. Yes - and those also look like crap.
  17. Also watching from the DC area, I heard this and thought it made a little sense since #82 was pushed out-of-bounds and someone else with a #2 made the touch on the ball. Having said that, I should know to ignore any and every thing Thiesman has to say.
  18. Up to this point in their Bills careers, it is pretty hard to fathom why either of them is on an NFL roster.\ Watching Cousins hurts. He's significantly better than all our backups put together.
  19. Probably explains why they signed about a dozen TE's this offseason.
  20. Well, you ARE confused - NFL Live is on ESPN. NFL Network had FredEx on this morning briefly. ESPN also had Stevie on First Take. Idiot (whose name escapes me) tried to get a QB controversy between VY and Fitx going. It was so ridiculous Stevie didn't even really understand his question at first, and refused to play along. In general - both networks have obviously caught a ton of flack for their Teb-boners and otherwise ridiculous focus on the 8-8 Jets. They've both made on-air comments that make it clear they are sensitive (defensive?) about the criticism. I say too bad for them - they deserve the abuse. Bigger picture than the narrow focus by team - what you learn when they actually cover the Bills (if you didn't catch it already) is that their coverage is mindless fluff regardless. Unless you are hearing breaking news from Schefter or detailed film breakdowns from Jaworski, you probably aren't going to learn a damned thing you didn't already know watching either network.
  21. An exaggeration. Merriman was the Bills best pass rusher at the start of last year. Now, that's not exactly high praise considering how bad the pass rush was, but he was the only guy getting some pressure for those first few weeks. In the pre-season last year, he was amazing - if he's healthy this year, there's every reason to believe he's a huge steal.
  22. I have for several years now. As others have said, it's only $20, so...
  23. Seems fair. I'll agree to that.
