  1. I hope there is good sideline reporting in the game. The final score doesn't matter so much. But having so much talent assembled in one place annually is a great opportunity to do some interviewing, reflecting on the season, looking ahead to next season. CBS will cover the game. They didn't do any sideline reporting through the regular season, unlike ESPN, NBC, and Fox (although they did through the playoffs). So we'll see how they decide to call the game. I think Greg Gumbel is calling the game.
  2. I thought it actually was a pretty sober, level-headed analysis.
  3. He's a defensive end. And yeah, I agree, he could be another Sam Bowie. Not fine company to be in. (btw, I wonder if Michael Jordan ever took Bowie out for lunch and a few beers!)
  4. Sirius NFL radio two minute drill at 1:30 pm says Bills 18th ranked defence could get "worse" in 2007 as Fletch and Nate leave the fold. Just shows how irrelevant the no-nothing blabbermouths on this radio "station" know about football. Read the headlines and make broad generalizations about teams' prospects. That's not analysis, that's stupidity.
  5. The Texans missed big time in not bringing Vince Young back to his hometown through the draft last year. If Young has a pro bowl career, this draft blunder by the Texans could be one of the top 20 draft blunders of the decade.
  6. My take on it is its not in order. Garcia is on the list because he's seen as a hot commodity right now given his clutch performance in coming of the bench to lift the Eagles to the playoffs. On pure talent and skill, others may be more deserving of being in the top 20. But Garcia and D. Rhodes are almost in a special category: non-star players that did a lot for their teams at the end of the season / or playoffs.
  7. Houston was way off if they expected a playmaker when they got Moulds. If they wanted a physical receiver who can get you another 3-4 yards after taking his first hit, they got it. But playmaker, no. Good call by Marv in letting Eric move on. And good for Eric in putting some money in the bank with the Texans. I'm glad though the Texans had to fund it and not the Bills.
  8. And a GM who should have been canned ages ago. How Matt Millen continues to survive baffles me.
  9. How about a Lawrence Maroney type back to complement Willis? If Willis gets peeved about it, he can choose to leave town when his contract expires. And we'll have a good back with one good year of experience under a two-back system before we identify Willis' replacement.
  10. Dan Snyder has owned this team 7 years. How many times has this team made the playoffs over the last 7 years? Once. Exactly one more than the Bills. So the moron drastically outspends the Bills (and most other teams) on free agency, and what do the Redskins have to show for it???
  11. And the NFL Network will be there with live coverage every day.
  12. We also play the Giants next season in addition to the regular two games against the Fins. The 2007 reg season schedule hasn't been released yet. But can you imagine us playing the jet-lagged Giants or Fins the week after their London game? Odds are 13-3 (just over 4-1 odds) that we will. Unless the league schedules the Giants and Fins bye weeks right after the London game.
  13. NT is also a strong open field tackler. And in DJ's schemes, back-to-basics proper tackling are key.
  14. I see this ending very badly for Wade. Jones has: already decided the team will run a 3-4 defence (yes, that's Wade's forte and key reason he hired him) already chosen the OC already told Wade that TO is back again for '07 This hiring is all about Garrett and grooming him to take over as HC in 2 years. He's Jones' favorite, Aikman's favorite, Irvin's favorite. The Cowboys cabal has already decided on the future HC.
  15. And by staying in rainy London, Joey Harrington has a higher probability of matching his in-Buffalo 0.0 QB rating.
  16. In the bedroom, Yes. It's strictly a fetish though.

  18. .... and likely a spot on Letterman or Leno. The guy is craftier on the PR front than people might think. What a way to make a career change from Staples.
  19. Could be. I'm sure big Pat would love to see Nate in purple next year. The Vikes badly need a pass defence.
