  1. You're the one who things the sacks allowed numbers are a conspiracy against Jason Peters.
  2. You must live under a rock.
  3. According to whom? Is Ryan Clady an established star now?
  4. And everyone else's sacks aren't inflated? If Peters only gave up 7, then chances the other players in the NFL were credited with too many. That leaves him last, yet again. That analysis means NOTHING unless it is done for everyone on the list.
  5. It's pretty easy to say he won't be a top 2-3 LT. Simply because the top 2-3 LTs will be in the HOF, and Peters is a very, very far cry from that. I would like to see an instance where a player dogged it for a whole season, and then came back to have a great career. If Peters truly was a top LT, his season would have been more like Walter Jones'.
  6. So, being a top 10 safety means you are overrated? Because NFL scouts rate him as a top 10 safety. You're not one of those people who thinks their opinions means more than actual NFL scouts, are you? In fact, Whitner is a top 5 in-the-box safety, who is very good in zone coverage, but only average in man. Of course, you wouldn't get that, because you expect your SSs to fly around the field catching INTs.
  7. Peters will never surpass what those guys did in their primes. Jones held out for 3 consecutive seasons, only reporting at the start of the regular season. And guess what? Per John Clayton, Walter Jones didn't even allow a sack in one of those years. Peters will never be a top LT because he doesn't have the work ethic to be one, you have to be a great run blocker AND a great pass blocker. Ryan Clady, a 2nd year LT, is already a top 2-3 guy. The top LTs in the league are punishing run blockers, and only give up 1-3 sacks a year. If you don't play hard when you want more money, what's to stop you from slacking off when you have the money? Say what you want about his talent, but if you don't have effort, you can't be a great player. People rarely change.
  8. Yet he was a S all the way through High School, and his limited speed and ball hawking abilities project him more towards the S position.
  9. No, but if you read the articles from when those guys were in their primes, they talk about how rare it was that they actually gave up a sack. I remember reading an article that stated Walter Jones gave up 0 sacks in a season multiple times. I'll try to find it. 18 LTs gave up less than 5 sacks last year, so i don't think it's a stretch to say those guys didn't give up 11.5 in their primes.
  10. You know, Peters will NEVER be a top 3-4 LT in the NFL. Guys like Walter Jones, Jonathan Ogden, and Orlando Pace didn't give up 11.5 sacks in a year. Walter Jones skipped training camp for 3-4 years in a row, and guess what? He always had a very good season. You have to give it your all to be the best in the NFL, you can't let rookies like Chris Long blow by you untouched. Peters doesn't have the work ethic to dominate, and he probably never will. In fact, the LT position has become easier and easier to fill. It's much harder to find a good QB than it is to find a left tackle. There are a plethora of good LTs in the NFL, and it isn't very hard to find a good one in the draft. So there was no reason to be held hostage by a player who makes Vernon Gholston look like a high effort player.
  11. Actually, McGee is a fantastic corner. He has been by far our best since Nate left, and he will get a big contract at the end of this season.
  12. Chris Long abused Jason Peters.
  13. Peters was a great run blocker, but a piss poor pass protector. Walker is an average pass protector (for a LT, very good for a RT) and a slightly above average run blocker.
  14. He's 340 pounds, which is about 50 lbs overweight for a 3-4 DE.
  15. This guy is an idiot. SS is Donte's natural position, and we drafted Byrd so we could eventually move him back. The only options last year were to keep Donte at SS and have Scott play FS, or switch them around.
  16. MY GOD!!! They used a stereotype of a black man?!?!? Why don't we hear this with the 10,000 stereotypical white characters? Because, you know... using stereotypes is racist now.
  17. No way this happens. If healthy, Harris is the best DT in the NFL. If he's not healthy, then the Bears rip us off.
  18. Ruben made 4 second team all-pro teams as well. He will likely get strong HOF consideration.
  19. So Mexican immigrants should have to pay reparations to poor white people for taking their jobs away?
  20. It's a fact that many of the unions around the US are heavily influenced/controlled by organizations like the mafia, but how does this filter into the government? I'd say that the mob has at least some influence in the Democratic party, because the democrats usually court and receive the endorsement of the unions. Barack Obama won the support of the teamsters by saying that he will end the federal oversight of them, (even though the FBI states the mafia still partly controls the union). How can these candidates willfully accept the endorsements of these unions without knowing that much of the policy suggestions they receive from them will be heavily tainted by the criminal underworld? I think that the card check legislation reeks of mafia influence. The card check bill would make it much easier for organized crime to take control of a union, as all it would take would be to send a few thugs to someones house to make them sign a card. No wonder the teamsters are one of the biggest supporters of the bill. I'm not saying that all these politicians know that they are influenced by these people, but it's obvious that there is some influence there.
  21. If we did, we would probably be the electricity capital of the US. Pretty fitting, seeing as how Buffalo would have come full circle if it were done.
  22. I was referring to black people. No matter what he does in his presidency, he will ALWAYS have the support of that 20%.
  23. The Bills worked out 100 players yesterday, so why does this get its own thread?
