  1. Or you could easily say that it was Stallworth warning the man to get out of the way, and could not swerve, lest he hit someone else. Face it man, the DA had a very weak case. A good lawyer could easily create reasonable doubt.
  2. Maybe you should read previous posts before spouting your blather. Cutler leads the league in bad decision percentage every year, he turns the ball over a lot, and he isn't very efficient. Tell me, why did Cutler only put up average numbers if he was surrounded by the best offensive talent in the game? Trent Edwards has never had anything close to the team that the Broncos assembled for Cutler. Don't give me the 4500 yards bull sh--, as only 8 times in NFL history has someone thrown more passes than Cutler in a single season. Yes, in the entire history of the NFL, Cutler threw the ball the 9th most times of any player in a single season. Cutler had 27 tds to 20 turnovers, while he had the best offensive line, a top 10 running game, top 5 WR corps, and top 10 receiving TE. Maybe if people got over the fact that Cutler can throw the ball 10 miles, they would see that he plays like an idiot on the field, doesn't take care of the ball, and isn't very efficient (even when surrounded by the best talent in the league). Cutler and Edwards have almost identical QB ratings and YPA, yet Cutler plays on a significantly better team. Yeah, I'll take the non-dumbass QB over the immature loser that Cutler is. Tony Dungy certainly agrees with me.
  3. Maybe you should learn to read. The prosecution had a weak case. End of story.
  4. Actually, every single legal opinion I've heard states that the prosecution had a weak case. The prosecution must prove their case, NOT the defense. It would have been very hard to conclusively show that Stallworth could have avoided the man if he was sober. Per reports, the man darted out in front of Stallworth's car, who was driving down a multiple lane roadway. No DA would strike a plea deal for 2% of the jail time that would be given for such a serious crime, if he had a strong case. Also, Stallworth's insurance company is most likely footing the bill for the settlement, and such settlements are routine in wrongful death cases.
  5. I just spelled out why he got 30 days. Do i have to go over everything real slowly for you?
  6. It's really not the fact that he has money, it's the fact that the prosecution was in for one hell of a long and hard fight if this went to trial. Stallworth stood a pretty decent chance of getting off.
  7. Well, intent plays a big part. That, and the fact that the prosecution had a pretty weak case.
  8. Chris Brown says he looks good.
  9. Most likely, just the state of Florida. However, not being a lawyer... i can't tell you for sure. I'd say that some states probably have laws that do not let you get a license if you've lost it in another state.
  10. Stallworth is no bigger a sack of dung that anyone who has ever driven drunk. (half this board)
  11. There is 1 reported prison rape per 1000 in-mates in the state of Florida. Granted, not all are reported.. but it gives you a fairly good picture about how uncommon it really is. The actual rate is probably 10% or less.
  12. Most people don't get ass raped in prison.
  13. MADD has become a draconian organization that is pretty much anti-alcohol. They are the people that lobbied the federal government to force states to make the drinking age 21. They want all cars to have breathalyzers in them, which don't let you drive even with a .001 BAC. They want to make it illegal to drive with any alcohol in your blood. They want to increase taxes on all alcoholic drinks. Even MADD's founder left the organization in disgust.
  14. I know players who participate in training camp can make a good chunk of change (even if they don't make the team). They earn more, during the length of camp, than an average guy would make at his job over the same period. I'm pretty sure this is correct.
  15. What's an illegal citizen?
  16. High health care costs have nothing to do with insurance companies.
  17. He started Lynch over Anthony Thomas.
  18. Nope, completely serious.
  19. Ugh, he had to donate to Mothers against drunk driving. I hate that "organization".
  20. Yeah, according to Florio... the guy was walking across the middle of a multi-lane road, and therefore contributed to his own death.
  21. We should definitely give up Steve Johnson, our first this year, and our first next year for Marshall.
  22. There needs to be a new poll option: Yes, because they face suspension if they are caught.
  23. We probably won't even sign him, so who cares?
  24. If Harris is healthy, he is a better player than both Wilfork and Ngata.
