  1. What type of defense are you running? Tommie Harris would be the better pick at DT (over Ngata or Wilfork) for a 4-3.
  2. Gee, maybe his defense would have been better if he didn't give the ball away like it was free candy? Jim Kelly played in a far different era, one where it was rare for multiple players to throw for 4000 yards... now, it is the norm for several QBs do do it. Cutler was 9th ALL TIME in pass attempts last year. Cutlers numbers are severely inflated by the fact that he threw the ball so much. Cutler DID NOT throw the ball with high efficiency last year, in fact TE and Cutler are about the same when it comes to QB rating and YPA. Cutler had a far better team around him, and he couldn't muster a better QB rating or YPA than Trent Edwards? In 1991, the 13th best QB had a rating of 80.3. In 2008 that would have been good for 22nd.
  3. Maybe you should check the stats man. Cutler had a top 10 running game. 12th in yards and 2nd in YPC. You are misinformed about the receiving corps as well. Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal >>>>>>> Lee Evans and Josh Reed. How many yards do you think Edwards would throw for if you put him on the Broncos, and gave him 40 attempts a game? Not to mention Ryan Clady is a top 5 LT, and he had a top TE in Tony Scheffler. The Broncos are absolutely STACKED on offense.
  4. Besides the killing of random innocent people, i can sure see the similarities!
  5. He's about as good as Cutler at this point in his career. Give Trent the best offensive line in football, a top WR corps, a pass catching TE, and a strong running game. He would put up similar numbers to Cutler, except he wouldn't throw as many INTs.
  6. What would Chicago trade? They have no first round pick next year, and I doubt Denver would want Tampa 2 personnel for their 3-4 defense. Chicago really screwed up. They got a QB that makes bad decisions and likes to force the ball into very tight windows, all while not having a solid foundation for him to succeed. It's going to be brutal in Chicago. Cutler could very well throw 25 INTs.
  7. The last few years we've had 2 first round picks on the secondary, and 3 on the lines. That doesn't exactly sound like we are building around the secondary.
  8. Not really, the Broncos traded a semi-good QB for a decent QB. He should be more concerned about the offensive system he's going to be in. The Broncos won't throw the ball 40 times a game under McDaniels, and Marshall's stats won't be so ridiculously inflated because of it. He needs to get his contract done now, because he will lose a lot of bargaining power when he doesn't get 15 balls a game thrown his way. Marshall is a top 10 WR, but he probably wants the biggest contract amount for his position. The Broncos got instantly better by trading Cutler away. It is unacceptable to have 22 turnovers to 27 TDs when you have the best offensive line and a top 5 receiving corps.
  9. If Daniels had more consistent QB play he would be a perennial 900-1000 yard guy. However, Schaub is injured around 5-8 games a year, and he is stuck being thrown to by a backup. Stats with Schaub: 5 catches 61 yards per game Without Schaub: 2.5 catches 25 yards per game If he had Schaub all of last year, he would have been on pace for: 80 catches 976 yards The guy is also only getting better, as his numbers have gone up every single year. Within 2 years the guy will most likely be the best receiving TE in the entire NFL. However, he needs a decent QB (something pretty much all the top TEs have).
  10. The top TE is making more than $6 mill and Owen is better than he is.
  11. He will probably be the best receiving TE in the league after this year.
  12. I'm pretty sure Bill Polian considers CB to be a top 5 position.
  13. I wonder if David Brooks would be calling for a white man, who has made those remarks in reverse, to be confirmed? I guess minorities can't be racist now?
  14. What a !@#$ing terrible "insider" post.
  15. Your original post seems to correlate screaming with winning, I'm just demonstrating that that is patently false. Singletary could very well have a good coaching career, but it won't be because of his lack of pants.
  16. So does every single coach in the NFL.
  17. It's safe to say that it doesn't matter. If you can game plan effectively and make in-game adjustments, you will win in the NFL. Bill Belichick is the portrait of stoicism, yet he wins every year.
  18. Who said i had a man crush on Dick Jauron? Your so called "facts" are anything but. "Intensity and courage" have almost nothing to do with winning football games. There have been dozens of coaches who have screamed their heads off, but guess what? They failed because they couldn't outsmart their opponent. Pulling your pants down means sh-- when you can't figure out how to stop your opponent from marching down the field.
  19. So, screaming = wins? I guess the X's and O's are overrated. Someone should tell Bill Belichick.
  20. Yeah, because mooning your players is "courageous and intense"... and that's what wins games.
  21. A majority of the league.
  22. Scott started at SS because Whitner was the only one who could man FS without looking terrible. Whitner is certainly the better SS, but Scott would flat out suck at FS. Of course, i wouldn't peg someone who thinks Scott is a starting caliber player as smart enough to know this.
  23. So...much...idiocy...in....one...post...
