  1. That article has a $1900 PC going up against a $2500 Mac. I'd like to see a $2500 PC going up against a $2500 mac. The $2500 PC would absolutely smoke the Mac. Hell, the $2500 PC would really only cost $1900, since there is always a 25-30% discount available for purchasing online. So that Mac should be going up against a $3000+ PC. While the Mac beats vista in speed with the same hardware (so does XP, but Windows 7 is faster than both), you must take into account the pricing of the item. A similarly priced PC comes with far superior hardware, and is far faster.
  2. Yeah man. It makes total sense to spend $3000+ more just because you don't want to spend a couple hours screwing in a few parts.
  3. Yeah, that would be a good point, if the Hugo was exactly the same under the hood as a Mercedes.
  4. Clearly, NFL scouts have overrated Donte because of his First Take appearances. He would be considered nothing more than below average if not for Jay Crawford.
  5. Canadian doctors make, on average, $202,000 a year.
  6. I thought about spamming this thread with links, since i have a personal connection to Kan Jam and a company that sells beer pong tables. However, i would be no better than the guy who signs up to spam about his blog.
  7. Yeah, it was a different era, but Shaw's best season he had 10 TDs to 20 INTs. Players like Sunny Jurgensen had 23 TDs to 10 INTs. John Brodie had 24 TDs to 10 INTs, John Hadl had 22 to 15, Lamonica had 22 to 15... etc... The good QBs still put up good numbers.

  9. yeah, man. Shaw's legendary 57 QB rating really blows Edwards out of the water.
  10. They move to the US.
  11. Twitter makes its users adopt such shorthands, as there is a character limit for every post.
  12. I hope not. Any team that moves to LA will eventually move away.
  13. Well, since every Democrat has been touting the simplicity of single payer, you would think it wouldn't be more complicated than what we have now.
  14. http://docs.house.gov/gopleader/House-Demo...Health-Plan.pdf Nope, not complicated at all.
  15. and fox sports grows more retarded by the day....
  16. If he's athletic enough, why not? We could have Maybin, Poz, and Mitchell on 1st and 2nd down. Then Ellison comes in, and Maybin moves to DE on 3rd down. He'll probably just play DE, though.
  17. Did Sarah Palin beat you up or something?
  18. I never said insurance companies don't have some unethical practices, but the CBO puts the majority of the excessive tests on the doctors. You see, Doctors get paid by how many patients they see, tests they do, surgeries they perform, etc... The pay structure of physicians encourages such behavior. However, with the ethics aside, you cannot blame the cost of health care on the insurance companies. They only make a 3.8% profit.
  19. Gee, I wonder why a company wouldn't want the entity that regulates them to be their competitor.
  20. You are thinking small time. Everything you just listed is a drop in the bucket. About $1 trillion is wasted every year because of the overuse and misuse of medical treatments. That is backed by numerous studies, and testimony by the Congressional Budget Office. Every day, people are given ineffective experimental treatments, given unnecessary MRIs, CAT scans, etc.. So while you may be sickened by insurance company practices, the fact remains that their profits only count for 3.8% of health care costs. We could drastically reduce health care costs right now if doctors just used better judgment. Telling a terminally ill patient that they cannot receive an experimental treatment because of its cost is not a winning platform for a Congressman. Touting universal health care is.
  21. Gee, maybe you should read testimony from the Congressional Budget Office http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/95xx/doc9567/07...e_Testimony.pdf Or we can listen the "debunkings" of economic and procedural matters by a psychologist.
  22. Here, the average Canadian wait time is 9 hours: http://kxmc.com/getArticle.asp?ArticleId=393503 How is that relevant to the debate? For every $100 an insurance company pays out, they make $3.80. That's hardly obscene.
  23. Over my head? I'm the only person in this thread using actual facts. http://www.consumerreports.org/health/doct...ertreatment.htm The CBO agrees with consumerreports as well.
  24. That's the problem. Extremely costly experimental procedures are used, even though they have not been proven to be more effective than the cheaper and older treatments. The CBO issued a very informative report on it.
