Right Wing Militias on the Rise
Fingon replied to Bad Lieutenant's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Actually, Social Security is a fiscal nightmare. The average citizen puts far more into SS than they will ever receive from it. Putting the money into a 1% savings account would yield much more money for retirement than the current system. Overall, social security is a complete failure. -

We've drafted 3 linemen in the first round in the last 3 years. -

It seems rather silly to be bitching about the Bills not trading up for someone when he is not a great player. -

I wasn't aware Derrick Harvey was a great player. -
You want to pay $500 just for a little apple on your notebook? Really?
-
It's doubtful that Derrick Brooks is even better than Keith Ellison at this point.

I don't know... I love T-Pain just for "I'm on a boat" -
Eric Mangini runs a tough practice, too.

Are you that dumb, or just a new fan? Kelsay had a career high 5.5 sacks when Schobel had 14. That's good for a RDE, and obviously you don't know the difference between a LDE and a RDE.
-
Well duh. But let's not act like this is the acquisition of the century. They picked up a decent player coming off an injury plagued season.
-
Kelsay isn't bad. He is solid against the run, and would average 5-7 sacks a year with a premier pass rusher on the left side.
-
Burgess is about as good as Kelsay.
-
Schobel is better than Burgess, and on about the same level as Thomas.
-
Thomas and Burgess are nothing more than "pretty good" players at this point in their careers.

What ObamaCare might mean for you

Why don't we make all insurance companies exempt from paying taxes on their profits? We could throw in a stipulation that a certain percentage of the money goes toward lowering premiums. -
VY will be out of the league in a few years.

Clearly, anyone wearing anything fancier than a tee and jeans is out to get Obama.

2009 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc. Grade: 56 | Key Alert: None Comment: Ellison is an undersized linebacker who had primarily been a backup and special teams contributor early in his career, but was thrust into a starting role last season. He has good speed and athleticism, but is best when covered up. He isn't a good take-on player and will get smothered at times, once engaged by offensive linemen. He over-runs plays at times and needs to break down to leverage ball-carriers in pursuit. Ellison has improved with his route recognition, but must continue to progress in this area to become a more effective coverage defender. His lack of bulk and strength makes him a liability at times versus the running game and is most valuable giving depth.

Our run defense was very good for the first 6 or so games. To say that it carried over from the preseason is completely false. Also, our defense was very good on 3rd down and did not allow very many 1st downs.

Lie more in your posts, would ya?

Yeah, I'm sure N. Korea only wanted Bill Clinton to visit their country. I'm 100% positive we didn't make a secret back-room deal for their release.

Actually, ESPN lumps all safeties together, so Whitner is 9th out of 64. 2009 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc. Grade: 57 | Key Alert: None Comment: Scott has been in a backup role since leaving the Atlanta Falcons but was solid for the Bills' secondary in 2008. He is a good combination of size and strength with above average athleticism. He is best in the box and close to the line of scrimmage. Scott is an aggressive run defender who is too inconsistent to make plays in space. He has good range to pursue both the run and pass, but Scott lacks great lateral agility and quickness to redirect in the open field.

2009 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc. Grade: 60 | Key Alert: None Comment: Corner had a very solid rookie season with two starts to his credit as well as extensive playing time. Corner is an undersized cornerback with excellent athleticism. He lacks bulk and power, and that hinders his ability as a run support defender. Still, Corner is a willing tackler and tries to be aggressive turning plays toward the pursuit. He needs to use his hands better versus block protection to stay active to the pile. Corner has great foot agility, quickness and balance in short underneath coverage responsibilities. He might not have the outstanding pure burst out on an island to be effective versus top speed receivers. 2009 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc. Grade: 57 | Key Alert: None Comment: Florence is a five-year veteran who always has shown a lot of promise, but something is missing. He split time on the right perimeter last season and wasn't bad, but he's still a half-step away from being a quality NFL starter. He has a very good combination of size, speed and agility, but he seems to suffer from brain cramps and will hesitate too often at the wrong time. He lacks ideal hip fluidity, but he can turn and run pretty well with speed receivers and occasionally shows a bit of recovery burst when he loses a step. He isn't much of a playmaker when the ball is in the air, and he misses some interception opportunities because he lacks good ball skills. He consistently loses a step against receivers who can make a hard cut without telegraphing their route. He lacks great technique, getting too high in his pedal and often losing a step in transition. 2009 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc. Grade: 63 | Key Alert: None Comment: Youbouty has been a career backup for Buffalo. He's valuable in sub packages. He has good size and athleticism but lacks enough pure speed to be effective out on an island. He has great short-area quickness, lateral agility and balance to be effective in short and intermediate zone and combination man schemes. He maintains leverage well with proper angles and cushion in both man and zone schemes. Youbouty can flip his hips to turn and stay in his opponent's hip pocket. He's a solid reactor as plays unfold and appears to have a natural feel for the game.

The Day after Tomorrow was terrible, so why do we need a sequel?
