  1. Not only that...... "Bank Street has created a “dedicated space” in the school for “kids of color,” where they’re “embraced” by minority instructors and encouraged to “voice their feelings” and “share experiences about being a kid of color,” according to school presentation slides obtained by The Post. Meanwhile, white kids are herded into separate classrooms and taught to raise their “awareness of the prevalence of Whiteness and privilege,” challenge “notions of colorblindness (and) assumptions of ‘normal,’ ‘good,’ and ‘American’” and “understand and own European ancestry and see the tie to privilege.” ....they're also taught about segregation. I never thought I'd live to see racism being taught to school children with segregation being used as the tool with which to teach it.
  2. The government over reach consists of denying people due process simply because they're on a list (which by the way, there's a huge difference between the Terror Watch List and the No-Fly List). Having your name on one of these lists should not mean that you can or should have your rights denied, and due process is a right afforded even to illegal immigrants.
  3. Back in post #2265 (about six weeks ago) I linked an article posted on the PBS/NOVA site back in 1997 which opens with the following: "During the past billion years, the Earth's climate has fluctuated between warm periods—sometimes even completely ice-free—and cold periods, when glaciers scour the continents. In this article, climate scientist Kirk Maasch offers perspective on these historic changes, including the likely causes of the last great ice age—which contrary to common knowledge, we are still in the midst of." As someone with a background in science, I'd be interested in your opinion on the validity of the above, and if it is valid, why do opponents of AGW not put this argument forth?
  4. The only thing I can think of offhand that is associated with the color blue is the helmets/berets/armbands worn by UN peace keepers, and that's about as PC positive as you can get. So, yeah - blue chalk is likely fine. But I'm sure that somebody somewhere would find a reason to be offended by it. It's 2016 after all.
  5. That's even worse - the chalk is white.
  6. The only "green" those a-holes care about is the monetary support they get from their disciples. Even the French are badass by comparison.
  7. I'm a boomer. People can say what ever they want, I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, they may as well have said all latinos eat tacos, or all backs are rappers. It's all the same ignorant type of broad-brush painting that happens here all the damned time. Let them think that if they wish. I know better.
  8. It's like I've said several times in this thread already: I can't wait to see what happens when they graduate and enter the real world. Fools.
  9. To lighten the mood on PC a bit - they get into it at the 2 minute mark, and it's somewhat NSFW.
  10. That should be fairly routine. I understand it's quite similar to shoulder surgery.
  11. Not much.
  12. Hey - I don't look like that.
  13. Isn't a bit ironic that a significant number of Americans are against the UK's desire to be independent of the EU, especially given that the holiday that celebrates our own independence is less than a week away?
  14. If it's your belief that neither the administration, or Hillary herself, had any hand in anything that happened in Benghazi, then your outrage right now seems completely out of whack. I would think at this point that you'd be happy at how things are turning out.
  15. Let's not be too judgmental though. Let's ask first, what color are those kids?
  16. I'm willing to presume they can swim if that creepy smiling whale can defy gravity like that.
  17. That's true, but it's a start.
  18. check this out:
  19. That was completely uncalled-for.
  20. My thoughts exactly, but better worded than if I had said it. Cheers!
  21. How member nations of the UK decide to handle their own internal affairs is theirs to decide. When I was in Belfast not two years ago, all they focused on in the news was Scotland's vote to leave the UK. And I would ask you exactly how many nations that have been a part of the British Empire over history weren't made a part of it by conquest?
