One of the knocks on Geno coming out of school was that he would stay in the pocket and take a sack instead of either getting rid of the ball or scrambling. From watching the Pats game I think he still has those tendencies, plus I think he started hearing footsteps after the first sack he took against the Pats. I think Mario can have a similar role of pass rushing combined with QB contain to keep Geno contained. Hopefully we can hit him early and get him rattled. I was/(am?) one of McKelvin's biggest detractors coming in to the season. I'm happy to say that he's playing better at CB than anytime previously in his career. I don't know if it's him or the scheme, or both, but good job McKelvin and keep it up. Maybe he's better as a pressing CB instead of a CB who has to play off his man and react? But either way, he's exceeded my expectations of him through 2 games so far.
