  1. Michaels has been a good announcer, and no offence intended, but Summerall was a voice of the NFL, while Michaels should have been play-by-play on Jets broadcasts since the Kotite years.
  2. Naah. Stick Matekavitch in there and get some dirt on him. Dude's gotta be good for something.
  3. Totally agree. Cook struggles to 'establish' the run game where I can see LM breaking through and abusing early defensive aggressiveness. Cook gets more effective later in the games, so start him 2nd half to wear out the clock. Aside from getting shut down on maybe 1 or 2 runs, Murray's been a stud.
  4. Who the hell decided to fly the team in at the end of the week??? Travis Etienne Jr.: Acclimation to London played “huge part” in Jaguars win By Mike Florio Published October 9, 2023 10:48 AM For the first time ever, an NFL team played two games on two Sundays in London. After the game, one of the key contributors to Jacksonville’s upset win over the Bills pointed to the acclimation as a big factor in the victory. “I felt like it really created a great edge for us,” running back Travis Etienne Jr. told PFT by phone from London, just before the Jaguars were preparing to go wheels up to America. “Just knowing how I felt [last Sunday] in the Falcons game, the first game that we had out here and having the whole week out here, just being able to get our bodies adjusted and not having to have that jet lag on us throughout the game. I feel like it played a huge part.” https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/travis-etienne-acclimation-to-london-played-huge-part-in-jaguars-win Pissed me off before the game, and after the injuries, pisses me off even more today. What- did they save some £££ on hotel rooms...
  5. Kincaid needs to fight for an extra yard or two. First games so I'm glad he's getting comfortable catching the ball, but we'll need him to up his expectations and get to the sticks as the season goes on.
  6. Got to meet them back in the earliest days in a punk dungeon called ej's, and off and on over the years. Cool guys ej's got shut down by neighbors over noise complaints. It makes me happy to know the neighbors got a pawn shop which took over the place
  7. Sorry if I've thrown this out there already- one of my favorite bands, and they only get better the deeper into the tracks
  8. No idea how it happened- that has to have been the gentlest sack I've ever seen. 'Excuse me sir, can I help you to your seat?' I swear that's what it looked like. Thoughts and prayers to the squirrel
  9. So, your concept is that he got smarter... then stupider? I mean maybe, but it's only mostly because he got interested in astrophysics.
  10. I certainly don't mean to short the defense, they played really nice. But we lost to Zach Wilson.
  11. We're a good team. Tackling is probably the deficiency overall. Too many almost tackles that should have been actual bring-downs. If the D doesn't correct that, they'll be game-planned for as a bunch of pussies.
  12. So blitz on offense, THEN blitz on defense, unless they get the ball first. I'm in favor, Concerned Citizen
  13. Yeah I'm not worried about the desire of this team... therefore I'm not worried about the work ethic.
  14. I got diagnosed with a torn meniscus a few weeks ago. I didn't have the clicking and thought it was an MCL. It's getting better... think I got lucky- best wishes.
  15. My Pop sweared by this- might want to try turmeric- get high quality capsules with black pepper (it activates the turmeric). Another I'd try is green lipped mussel from NZ. That one also supplements a poor fish diet without having to take fish-oil capsules. There's no doubt my dog is way better off since she's been taking the green lipped mussel. Probably me too.
  16. The only people who use that phrase are (probably currently retired) High School Chemistry teachers and engineers. I applaud your heroism. Did you know the Battle of Hastings was in 1066?
  17. There is absolutely nowhere to exist in your eternal life posit, so no, it's not all that interesting . In the end, anything we can 'hop to' is going to go away- there is an infinite hole after that point. The only thing vaguely concrete is spiritual belief in the face of that reality. The only answer I know for sure is that, I don't know.
  18. I've always loved this song: Best wishes to all the 🦜 and parakeets out there. )
  19. Live by the blitz, die by the blitz. For Rodgers, I like the idea. He's a real QB, not a forward hand-off artist like TB, so a blitz can hit home. He'll totally burn us if we blitz, but I think it's no worse odds to win the game, and it"ll be a week 1 reminder that Father Time is calling. It's gonna be a long season, Mister Rodgers.
  20. Did you even read what you posted... 'not even at cockroach level'. Now I may be derailing a bit based on your thread title about eternal life, but you made the thread, literally about eternal life. Even the great Brian Cox of Manchester ain't backing that one up. So to answer: Do you think that we will ever be so advanced that we create eternal life? No.
